A number of the games seem to favor using a death rattle in later titles...imho, those are likely more traumatizing to a little kid than the earlier game at 0:22 with an...interesting 'health bar' and literal death scream.

Doesn't help that Peter is literally decaying to a skeletal husk as he takes damage. Mephisto apparently went back in time to screw over Spidey as part of the deal.
