Today we are going to look at the origin, secrets, timeline, story, lore, mysteries and history of the cheep cheep one of the classic enemies from the super mario bros franchise seen in a lot of underwater levels. This minion of bowser has been seen in a ton of games like super mario galaxy, super mario bros 3, super mario world, super mario maker, super mario 3d world, super mario 3d land and way more! Mario and luigi have faced this enemy many times in order to save princess peach and they have so interesting tricks up their sleeve. So today we are going to fully analyse them and see what changed in all those years in terms of use, game design, gameplay and story!

I am not sure if Rip van Fish is actual based on Rip Van Winke since the original name is Gooska which is an Onomatopoeia for snoring. The English name is defiantly a reference though.

You forgot that in New Super Mario Bros wii they changed a lot: the yellow ones, who swam in swarms of about 10 trying to avoiding you, the purple had their texture changed, and were following you, the bone ones, who got enraged if you got close, the green ones, who followed you until you got behind it, and finally the giant red and green Cheep Cheeps who were just bigger.

You forgot some important facts. In Super Mario Bros U, the purple spiny ones will get angry and follow if you get too close. And there's also a Cheep Chomp, who eats you.

they appear in super mario odyssey, and are basically the frog suit of that game. capture one and your swimming abilities are improved, as well as allowing you to breathe underwater if you havent got assist mode on.

It's kind of weird. The hulk was meant to be gray but it was hard to print that color so they changed it. In Mario, the cheep cheeps were meant to be green but they turned out gray.
