Thanks for sharing! I bought the same saw a couple of years ago on the recommendation of other KZfaq users. Great saw for the price I paid, £219 from Amazon UK! It is not perfect, but for a that kind of money it is so much better than the second hand Scheppach I had been using up until then. Yes, the folding base is very clever, but, even though I have a bit more space than you, I decided that I was never going anywhere outside the workshop with it and just got sick of tripping on the base or bumping into the the handles. After only a few months, I dismantled the base and replaced it with a cabinet I made from a combination of mdf, Ikea wardrobe sides and cardboard. I put the thing on lockable wheels, so I could shove it into the corner when I needed the space, and have not looked back. I mean, even folded, it is not exactly what you'd call compact, and the footprint now, with the cabinet, is much smaller.

Mate, in a small room (shed) you should operate the saw with your back to the open door. If you were careless enough to lose a finger or two, you don’t want to be fighting your way around the table or battling a closed door to get out with your red stuff gushing out. You could even pass out in the shed and no one might find you…. Also, practically it is easier to feed in long stock from the open door huh!

Hi ya, hope you are well and safe in this scorching weather. I got one of these Rage 5-S recently after watching various videos here on YT. Its a good idea for a confined place same as your or my Shed. Although, I don’t know, if I’ll need to chop them off, as my Saw goes in/out from the shed (if I’ll need to) straight forward. Above all, due to my disability, I’ll not gonna pull in/out much so, I’m trying to find a sweet-spot for the little beast. One guy stick to me the most is calls Tomasz and his channel calls “Casual DIY” and various upgrade to his Rage 5-S. Check him out if you prefer.
