Jade, I remember you, from the after school program, at Emerson Elementary. I remember you, because out of the ten years, I worked with children, you were one, of the two, I would have wanted to have full time. You were such a kind hearted, beautiful soul!

I feared so much that my faith is only through my OCD. But I left the faith when I was 14 because of my OCD. It never went away. I know God made me this way for a reason. When I get to Heaven my OCD will finally be gone. I will love God and trust Him to handle me. Jesus said to focus on one day. One day at a time. It has helped me so much, not to allow myself to worry for the future but to focus on what needs to be done at the moment. The Bible has turned out to be a wonderful mental health Manuel. I still have trouble with it. But I know Jesus loves me, I know God made me the way I am for a reason. I hope that whatever it is for is for His good.

I think this is great! I relate I have OCD and it made me struggle with faith. But remember god didn't create you with OCD, imperfection caused by adam and eve sinning led to OCD, showing that humans can't "Direct their own step" thinking they know good from bad. (Jeremiah 10:23) Which of course is proving not to be true, and he will fix the problems we have once enough time has passed and we won't remember the bad things. (Isaiah 65:17) (Matthew 6:10) Satan is the one that causes undo suffering, plus unexpected events (Ecc 9:11) (1 John 5:19) (James 1:13, 14) But even though he won't take away our issue now, he does promise to help us endure them until he fixes them. We can do this by seeking medical help and through prayer relying on him. (Romans 15:4) (1 Peter 5:7, Philippians 4:6, 7) (Matt 9:12) :) But he does help

Also you mentioned struggling with the Bible, don't forget (Proverbs 2:3, 4) Which encourages to keep seeking truth. The problem with OCD is accepting something once it makes sense without looking for reasons why it doesn't and then "Fixing" those reasons by compulsing. I like what you said about Jesus too, he made a great suggestion to take one day at a time because "Each day has its own anxieties" Or with OCD you might say, "Obsessions"

I think it's cool she's talking about this. I don't want to take anything away from her story. Sounds like things are getting better. I just find It interesting that her first manifestation of OCD was in religious ritual, and that appears to be where she ended up, "repeating mantras and choosing love every moment." That's a lot of moments. And alot of repetitive behaviors to make herself feel OK. Which sounds like another variety of compulsion. Anyway. I hope she is getting better.

I think the OCD will most likely try and stop her from meditating, but in meditation she could notice when it's coming and observe it's action allowing her to stop it or control it, whilst in a normal state of mind it would come without a warning and only after the OCD has taken over would she then realize but by that time it would be to late.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! You have helped me so much with your talk, I now gained the understanding that I have the choice which of my thoughts I want to give attention to and that I can always choose one thought over another. You are wonderful! All of you, we can do this. Life is making choices and we have the control over how we perceive our thought’s. Love and Trust above all!

Thank you for your wonderful words. I’m inspired and will start meditating today. Me too cannot find a therapist and have an aversion to SSRI’s. Thank you because you gave me hope and I know now that there might be light at the end of my tunnel.
