I like how a bulk of his ascension attack increase comes in that first red star. A lot of them make you wait to four of five. So he makes a decent lead even if you can't get hundreds of frags

Thanks for the video! The lack of march size or rally cap in his ascension is odd. Theres a growing trend of less march size in new generals, but im not sure the stats are enough to make up for it. Especially when T12 is half the march, and numbers matter more.

Thank again for updating the range spreadsheet really like the new layout :) I think you got the base attack number wrong, you put base atk for t15 mounted there

Good catch, I did put the wrong number. I just checked with the correct number and it doesn't change their rankings for effective damage, all the generals are just a bit closer in total damage.

Thanks for the review. But damn. Was hoping he was better than Agrippa. To finally upgrade to a new range general. But may hold back now. I think that huge event. Like the Napoleon event. May have a new best range pair with a covenant. The last was Douglas/elenor. Time will tell. Cheers

Couldn’t one compensate for Merlin’s march size issue by applying a march size skillbook to Merlin or his assistant?

Well yes you can, but everyone else can also take the book so it doesn't change his overall standing

Use Charles as his assistant and get 10% march size increase, 5% for covenant, and then the skill book

@@JohnNavarro271 It's dependent on the general, off the top of my head King Arthur and Genghis Khan can't take a MS book, and maybe two or three others.

When you really think about it every general is just a picture and some variation of the same numbers. Once you get past the unnecessary complexity of the mechanics there's very little depth to the game

Tops in attack tops in health 2nd in defense bur myth he's ok. He's a top 5 ranged general imo.
