I am F2P and have 2 copies of Merlin and 2 copies of Ragnar. Ragnar has the better base stats but Merlin has the better buffs on the 6th star. I can't decide which of the two I should use as the 6 star lead and which one should stay as the 5 star assistant.

In a year or 2 there will be generals that will have 60% or 75% or 100% attack and hp and all the blood of ares used would have been wasted. Watch it's coming. And a lot of the generals we have now will be deleted from evony just like they did many many months ago. Guaranteed. Just save everything for now.

I think Obsolete is too strong a word to be used for the other newer Generals. Obsolete in terms of Tavern Generals, most likely, Obsoletein terms of coining, maybe so. AS most of you should know these Generals are not released for the F2P players or even the mild coiners. These new Generals every other week are for the ones who spend thousands of dollars every month. For non coiners, they are NOT Obsolete.

Always look to the bright side of life. Coiners will always have the best generals with 5 red stars. Not worry about that, Will never change. But now i can see cheap ways to get a decent combo general without even spending money (got Marco and Washington from Champions boxes). Hi Bro.. i am confused between my wall general.. i have palace (Desert Golden palace) with seige stats bonus.. i have JAdwiga 2r ed starts as my main general.. And Khalid as secondary as of now.. i am waiting ifor leo 3 if i get leo3 i will replace khalid .. but i dont know if that will stack.. have a t1 mount wall(currently70M will be taking it to 200M-300M) and also higher level mounts and sieges.. Can you help me with wall general which should work with Jadwiga.. people in my alliance suggested me not to use Jadwiga.. but since i have a palace buff i was lookign for some wall general with Seige and Mount buff... (i also have Prime 2 stars.. sometimes i use it as my seocndary for wall)

Looks like Marco Polo and Washington Prime for higher march size and or Marco Polo and Napoleon Prime for higher attack, just have to do some testing to see at what point size supersedes attack.

Sorry if I sound like a bit of a downer, it just seems like the power creep has really gotten out of hand recently.

Everyone can decide what way they want to play. A mate in my alliance went ans fully ascended Elektra, Minamoto, King Arthur, Boudica. He suck the blood of ares there and is happy, saying he would ultimately put them in Senate. I use premium generals with 1-3 stsrs depending on luck. Now saving premium summon tokens for next combo general event (ala Gunther + Melisande, Ragnar + Signur). I am saving Blood of Ares for duty generals. Different ideologies, hardly any big mistake between the former or the latter. As for your big surprise - every similar game does this. Power creep over time is a serious thing one needs to keep in mind. it has nothing to do with "fair" or "unfair", as noone is being barred from getting lucky enough to get one copy of a new general. I actually find that the new generals being viable at 0 to 1 red star is actually quite nice. sure, for the top notch buff you have to get full ascension with skins and everything... so only for big spenders. this way, small coiners or f2p can actually get relevant assistants

And now we have Marco Polo mounted General that looks better than Washington prime

The disparity generally resides in march size. Particularly at higher keep levels, (but even at lower) march size is king. Washington prime doesn't get MS from red stars (save for 5%) , that's why this particular disparity is so glaring. Also why Alexander is even viable, since without MS, he's not even a topic of conversation. Messena is mid tier, if not for his MS as well.

hello ! i did some quick math while disregarding base stats and stats growth and here is what i got it is a comparison between a maxed ronald+WP as assitant vs WP 1red+java and this is what it boils down to 11% march size(Ronald and washington) OR 25% atk and 15% def/hp(washington and java guy, no base growth accounted for)

So what does this mean for Prime assistant, is it still Napoleon?

Not gonna lie I was starting to regret getting 16 copies to fully ascend him a bit out of Fomo despite already having Napoleon Prime, but this makes me at least feel like I may have other uses for him
