Other troop types are integral to your attacking army as well as defending your city. Although ranged tend to be better, at the very least due to a lot of players having much more mounted troops than others. You will need siege to increase your potency for sure and increasing the stats for those are great too, only if you have a lot of high level siege though. Mounted tend to be bad for PvP unless you really know how to use them effectively on attack, which can be difficult. In general, increasing your ranged stats first before any other for PvP is the best choice but always be keeping other troops one or two steps behind. Monarch gear is one piece of the puzzle and doesn't have to be thought of that hard, you can use Ares monarch gear if you wanted to keep the buffs more even or go for the ranged buffs if that's what you need. I personally use both depending on the situation but rarely use monarch gear that is only for ground/siege.

These troops are the archers (ranged) and Siege from the workshop building. You will want to check out my gem guide for some options for earning them, although it does not show every possible way. These gems can be used in the city buff screen of the keep building to apply truce agreements. These items allow you to be completely protected from enemies attacking you, i also suggest you overlap these truce agreement items to ensure you are never unprotected.

Absolutely not. You need everything when you are a large player, but even then no where near equal, unless you are very large needing multiple marches for each troop type. If you are below 1B you need lots of mounted for Bosses, lots of ranged to kill other peoples mounted which tends to mean the other two are left for another time, of course you still need a decent amount though to stay competitive. A general cannot be the best at everything, you have to make them good with 1 or 2 troop types, therefore you must stack them with those troop types or lose effectiveness

I am a slightly chunky 34k just upgraded this event. Almost half a billion. I do have 1,375,000 in t13 Cavs and been working on my ground. My arc always seem to die..and yes my tech is good at 9.1... speaking of that.. The military tree didnt aid in killing bosses or monsters..

Well ground and siege would be killing your archers i assume, building ground is great for Defense if you can afford it at your level but that might not entirely change your issue with losing ranged a lot. Your stats always matter so im not sure what you mean by researching not helping.. it can be very little change sometimes until you get to a very certain %/troop amount, then wounded could go to zero, but you should still see a difference with your research increases

I am not certain about the effectiveness of this and most likely is not going to be nearly as worthwhile as troop layering, feel free to build 1k of everything if you wanted

If you are keep 23 you need not layer whatsoever, you should be waiting until a minimum of Keep 25 before training quite a few troops (not too many), this does not include layering at this keep level either. I suggest starting a little at keep 27 but the layering effect only truly begins to help a lot at keep 32. I suggest heavily going after building speed improvements through research and capturing europium subordinate cities to make the upgrades easier for you. And as I told you keep 23 power 14 Now and I have only few hundreds of levels below 6 abd I don’t know how many troops I suppose to have for ranged , mounted and ground . Unfortunately no video has helped me with that .

I see some people in facebook groups and other places mentioning to practically only train Tier 1 siege troops for gathering (up to 800k) to ensure you have a "low" upkeep cost and can gather a ton of resources, quickly leveling yourself up to keep 32-35. This is more or less a good idea, there are some issues with it such as how boring it will be for 6 months though. If you want to strike a balance between that idea and also be able to kill bosses yourself and fight somewhat.. you can absolutely train up to 500k troops (mostly T10.. not T9!). Any more than this will cause you to have a lot of upkeep cost and make it easier for people to kill your troops permanently, rather than them going to your hospital which only has a certain capacity. As Tiers lower than 10 cannot be upgraded, without the need of building new ones, it is always best to hold off on making too many of the lower tiers first. It should be your priority to kill bosses, participate in events when possible and gather resources to get to keep 25. Layering only starts to work in your favor when players cannot kill your entire army in one hit, therefore layering absurd amount of troops is a waste of time and resources early game. Although layering will start to become good for myself soon, I have in previous months dismissed lower troops to improve my upkeep problem. You can always train those troops in the future. This persons video is okay, but only really serves those that already half know what they are doing at a minimum, which sometimes i probably do also to be fair. Once you get a better grasp on the game you may find more value in some of my videos as well as the other guys. Again, Concentrate on having enough troops to gather resources and kill some bosses while upgrading that keep level! Layering will mean more to you in 6 months!

When layering on attack it helps to send ALL tiers of ALL troop types to give yourself a better chance at saving higher level troops from death/injury etc. If you send too many of the lower tiers or too many of a troop type that is not your primary troop type for that attack, you may actually lose more troops that regularly. I suggest taking the percentages shown as a guide for how many of each troop type to send between ALL tiers. For instance sending 60% ranged troops with 40% being your highest tier at least to ensure maximum killing potential while also giving yourself a portion of layered troops. If you are below keep 32/T13 troops then I don't believe that layering is going to help a ton so feel free to just use the highest tier of troops mostly with only a flat rate of 1000 of each other troop tier and type. I would say layering is more so effective on defense, as this enables you to use mass amounts of lower tiered troops to increase your damage (as long as you don't die in the first battle). Again this is only worth doing up to 10,000 troops per tier/type until keep 30+ then you can train much more. It is very hard to explain the entirety of layering so if you still are confused please try to ask more specific questions about what you do not understand just yet

When a server begins people end up focusing largely on mounted troops to kill bosses with, which means the newer your server the better it will be to train mass ranged to beat everyone mounted. At some point you will find people training other troop types that may make ranged not as effective sometimes and therefore you need to go with the flow on that to keep up to date with your server/ enemy servers. I currently do not even train troops because i am leveling buildings, depending on your situation you can choose your own setup up but do bare in mind the excel sheet in the video and the percentages used can be used as a guide for PvP purposes however obviously you need mounted troops for bosses on top of that also. Sub cities train their own troops and don't need to be touched really. I suggest, for defensive purposes, layering up to 10% of your entire army being T10 and below minimum. When you are over 300M power you could begin to have more T10 and below than you actually have in higher tiers if you wanted. Although all this advice really is best taken after being K32 and 100M power+ minimum

Actually I dont want to train troops until I reach level 32 but I just feel ashamed when someone ask just to do their RT I cannot even kill for them that's is why is it ideal to train at least a troop that can kill those bosses and RT or it's just a waste if time and rss. I have been able to kill them for a long time even though i haven't had keep 32 for ages yet. This is good that i can kill those and help out with vikings/bosses but if you are already in a bigger alliance it isn't always necessary (you can just mooch off of everyone elses mounted power). If you can rely on others to do those things then you can save yourself time and effort in the short term to redirect that effort to keep 32

Although some information may be outdated or not applicable to bosses, so I will mention some things here also. When attacking a boss monster you will want to use One Tier of Mounted ONLY for best results. This means you will also want to train many mounted troops of the same tier to use against these bosses of course. When looking to increase their effectiveness make sure to increase mounted stats via Monarch gear, Generals, General gear, and research to name a few. When attacking Boss Monsters you should be able to see their power level, when adding your army to the march, compare the march's power to the monster's power. You will want at least 50% of the power that the monster has to have a good chance of succeeding.

They absolutely do give additional buffs for each one, you may find it won't significantly reduce your training times necessarily due to it increasing training capacity at the same time

The more troops the longest the time. If you still have 9 Hr of training for more troops that means they are training faster.

I might need screenshots of any errors they have, or if anything is locked/not built. I could only imagine they simply did not build a stables building yet because I have not heard of this issue before. It's hard to give an answer without any more information about the issue

The short answer is yes. It will depend on if you have enough troops of each type to actually use those percentages though. Also remember that the percentages are a total so split that nicely between the troop tiers as shown in the documents

Always be mindful if your ranged troops are not killing much which can be seen in the reports, you may be sending too many ground/mounted OR it might just be you are going up against a much weaker opponent. The general you mention is not going to be the best option for PvP as he does not necessarily have much going for him in the ranged department, which is the preferred troop type for most PvP. I would recommend going for Li Shimin in the tavern or if you're spending.. try to get gwangaeeto, elektra, alfred etc

My teammates usually fill their hospital up with T1 so they can revive their troops using SOL..

its a complicated system but generally higher tiers fill it first, even if at odds with the layering idea

If you would like to still participate in PvP and kill bosses etc.. 100k ranged/mounted t10 and 40k siege/ground. Then have 2-5k of everything else of all tiers. Although you could also literally just have 600k T1 siege and just gather only to get lots of resources to build up quicker (but be unable to fight). It's up to you and what you want to do

In the mean time you can look at my best generals video which also includes Subordinate city generals, all of which should be DEBUFF generals (their default skill book says reduces) this includes nero, empress cixi, andrew jackson, cnut the great, amininus and more! Gear and skill books not needed unless you get yourself some debuff gear spare to add to them!

It is unlikely I will get to this video particularly soon as it is fairly simple to recall deserters. Once you have deserters you will begin to produce recalling horns inside your holy palace, after you produce enough, you will have a button to press inside the holy palace to recall all (or some) troops. You can increase your production and how many troops you may recall at once with research

I had always wanted to continue with content, however the developers of the game do not support creators. The game itself is not fun after a long time playing and those two things together make it difficult to justify making new videos often.

In my opinion it does not make business sense for them, however they still refuse to be helpful to their creators (not just me). This used to be about fun for me with the channel, however it is more so about business now as my love for the game has subsided. Their behavior in various aspects makes it difficult to justify making content if its live streams or videos. I will still make content sometime in the future I think, although it will be limited. I still answer most questions in comments so if yourself or others need help I might be able to assist.

If you are not planning on being keep 30 or above soon, you can dismiss them for sure. Although eventually you will want all tiers anyway. If you are able to stick to the higher tiers for now and keep producing food then that could be a good option for the time being

Im on a bad server also which is unfortunate however it will take a long time for a merge and if anything merges make things worse for many months due to a lot of infighting, lower rewards on bosses, events etc. If you don't have a good server it can make things very difficult so it is best to leave while it's not too late if you believe that would be better for yourself, although by going to a newer server it could be a bad one too if you are unlucky and you will be required to start from scratch. If you would like to improve your current server it may be worth setting up chats on discord/LINE to have better communication, get everyone to work towards Server vs Server and also merge non-top 5 alliances into your own to increase your strength.. as smaller alliances end up being useless tbh
