Tammy Peterson says the last five years have been building up to this moment when she was confirmed and entered the Catholic Church during the Easter Vigil Mass at Holy Rosary Church in Toronto. EWTN's Colm Flynn went to Canada to document the moment and interviewed Tammy, her sponsor Queenie Yu, and her husband Jordan Peterson.

I have called up a parish once and went on a general confession and it was beautiful. Confession is the best therapy. If God blesses you with a good spiritual director and you get a good direction, no matter what comes your way you’ll taste the Father here on earth. As a Catholic the best thing that happens to me and I’m still on that journey is finding joy in suffering and learning to suffer well.

to annapalombi, I believe that consecrated marriage, celibate vowed to man in Christ or male female vowed to God, is the "summit", not eucharist which is: "... the source ... of the Christian life" (CCC, 1324), as in uncertainty belief, not faith. Belief is in uncertainty the keeping of the inseparability and qualitative equality of thinking mind ("soul" in the RSV) reason and having faith heart as "one" (NIV Acts 4:32).

The priest who celebrated the Easter Vigil mass where Tammy received the sacraments is Father Peter Turrone. He was my pastor at University of Toronto's Newman Centre Catholic Mission during the 2010s. He's one of the best priests I know, and I couldn't be more happy that God used him to serve in this way and initiate Tammy Peterson into the Catholic Church. God bless you, Mrs. Peterson. Truly beautiful when you see someone looking through the eyes of Christ. Tammy was truly radiant receiving the most precious gift of the Holy Eucharist. Pure joy. God brought her a wonderful friend in Queenie Yu to help her on her journey and a loving, supportive husband. What a blessing. So happy you are home, Tammy. 💟🙏💟 Heaven is rejoicing.

What a lovely story and beautiful sight. I'm always touched to tears when someone comes to the church and finds their home. I became catholic in 2001 when I was 18 after falling in love with His word the bible, His body the eucharist and the sacrament of confession. God bless you Tammy, welcome home! (Praying for Jordan to follow soon and that both may become truly one flesh in the catholic faith.)

I too was confirmed on Holy Saturday Easter vigil. That was the happiest day of my life. I picked Blessed Mother as my saint. By 2020, I was officially consecrated to her sacred heart and therefore Jesus sacred heart. All that awaits her and her husband

to victoria ..., I believe that "consecrated" refers to "heart and mind" (NIV Acts 4:32; "soul" for mind in RSV) in keeping in uncertainty of belief their inseparability and qualitative equality as applies to consecrated marriage celibate vowed to man in Christ and male female vowed to God.
