It's not referring to the Bible of today. It's referring to the previous messages, but those messages weren't preserved. We believe that the Bible of today does have some truths in it but it also has things added and things taken out. The Holy Qur'an is the only book that has been preserved. You don't have to accept or believe in Islam for it to be true, but 1st, know for yourself what it says and not rely on anyone else's opinion about it. @@Raiden8423 If i remember correctly, my ex-Muslim friend said that many Muslims wanted to study in Cairo at that time, but there was an argument when there were many differences in the texts of the Quran that they brought from their respective countries. then a committee was formed to choose which texts were correct, and which ones should and should not be included in the Hafs version of the Quran. therefore the committee made the 1924 edition of the Hafs Quran, instead of using the original Hafs. i don't remember exactly, because the post was probably 10-15 years ago on Facebook. he also included the sources of the references.

Uthman burned all of the differing Qurans so that they can agree with his. So the idea is that Muhammad may have taught something different but it was lost due to uthman especially since the Quran claims to confirm the Torah and gospel.

But in fact the Quran has many errors, e.g sun sets in a muddy pool in surah 17 or sun and moon orbit earth in surah 36 - "Allah" wrong twice, not able to decide on which wrong theory he should teach his prophet (really a man's 7C ideas.)

One suspicious aspect of the Quran though is that the text was in control of the caliphs ... so they could alter it and enforce that on the Dar Al Islam, whereas with the NT that was not the case, since it wasn't political or about empire, hence no systematic altering was possible (but would be with the Quran).

We know they were written prior to the 1C, due to the dead sea scrolls, Septuagint, targums. But God gives the ultimate proof if you believe on Him, as then you receive the Holy Spirit, who is God, and whose presence validates it is no lie. (Mohammed could not do that, as he thought Allah was only in heaven, and sent angels to prophets, not to ordinary people.) There are also miracles, visions, etc. Many muslims have had dreams of Jesus and become christians, recently, maybe the end of the age isn't far.
