There are several legitimate reasons why I quit Beachbody coaching. I feel like I fell for the biggest scam of all time. If you're considering becoming a Beachbody coach, watch this before you join!
UPDATE: Check out Part 2 - Quitting Beachbody - How I Earned $70k Since I Quit MLM • Why I Quit MLM and How...
I loved the idea of challenge groups for accountability, but I'm embarrassed to admit that I quickly became a "Beachbody hunbot".
I believed that signing up as a "discount coach" was the best way to save money on Beachbody and Shakeology. This quickly resulted into me achieving Emerald and then Diamond coach status, attending Beachbody Coach Summit and promptly reinvesting all of the money I "earned" back into the MLM pyramid scheme.
Beachbody coaching is not a great way to make a sustainable income...unless you're into recruiting and selling overpriced Shakeology and comparing the cost to that of Starbucks or McDonald's.
You can also check out this 100% whey isolate protein (recommended by my trainer) amzn.to/2BzNS1l
Unfortunately, Amazon stopped selling my favorite so this is what I've switched to.
It's been nearly 3 years since I quit, and I want to share with you exactly why I quit Beachbody coaching. If you're on the fence and wondering if you should stay or quit coaching, or if you're considering the "discount coach opportunity", listen to this video all the way through. Be sure to let me know if you have any questions in the comments!

An old friend reached out to me to "catch up" when I just happened to be going through a devastating time in my life. I thought she was trying to be there as a friend, but after a couple minutes, she dropped BB on me. I was so hurt. When I told her that this was a terrible time for me to even think about it, she dropped me. She never cared. This is such an unethical practice.

I'm SO SORRY that you dealt with that! That's TERRIBLE!!! I've been approached by 2 BB coaches on IG, one of which I have a relatively close acquaintanceship (if that's even a real word lol!) with. This video actually proves my suspicions about BB. I'm SO VERY SORRY that you were treated like that by someone that you were under the impression they actually cared. ESPECIALLY when you were going through such a difficult time in your life! I read your comment & just felt the need to tell you that I understand, & I'm sorry for that happening to you when you really needed someone to genuinely be there for you! May God continue to bless and cover you dear!!! 💜💜💜

On one hand, it's not a scam like other MLMs. They have great products and you don't even have to use or buy them or invest a ton of money (Lularoe!), but on the other hand it's still a hard sell and you lose a lot of friends. I just didn't like turning my FB page into an infomercial.

I'm a certified personal trainer and I've been approached by women from beach body who don't even have a certification hosting parties at parks with the workouts. I think it's irresponsible on their part as someone could get injured. The price you pay for the shakes u can afford to hiring a trainer who will be able to educate you properly to give u long lasting results even after your sessions are over. Also with the above comment you tube as amazing free workouts!!

I loved Beachbody's workouts with Shaun T as well as the Body Beast workouts. They really got me in shape. However, from day 1 I could tell the whole Shakeology and coaching thing was a scam. After all, it was pretty obvious that people with no experience whatsoever were "coaches". So I steered clear of all that stuff. Never drank shakeology. Never reached out to my coach. However, I still like Beachbody workouts.

Simply Perfect Well, a scam would be if they take money from you without giving you a product. That’s not what they do. If you actually do the workouts and follow the nutrition plans you will get results (unless you have health issues that might keep you from that). So that’s not a scam. But I find the majority of people are looking to loose weight quickly and go from obese to abs within 3-6 weeks and when that doesn’t happen they badmouth everything Beachbody. Bad that’s just not realistic. And everyone is different so their bodies will react differently. No 2 weight loss stories are alike, but people often forget that. Sure, Shakeology is super expensive and you really don’t need it to get healthier and in shape and yes, there are some really terrible coaches out there (not helping you without buying the shakes, charging people for the challenge groups ets), but Beachbody is not a scam. The programs work if you put in the work to follow them as written.

Having worked for Vitamin World and GNC and been in sales for 25 years I can promise you that every single store you work for has similar tactics. Compliment, become a friend, make a lifelong customer were the keys to success. I made GNC and Vitamin World thousands and thousands of dollars, made a small hourly wage and a very small commission. 25% commission is far more than I ever made working in vitamin sales in a brick and mortar store. The items I sold at GNC and Vitamin World often cost FAR more than Beachbody. I am not a coach but I am thinking about doing this in the most authentic way just as I have worked in sales. We sold memberships at both locations for a discount week as well. This idea that doing MLM is wrong or a mess comes simply from ignorance of what it is like working in any customer service or sales jobs.

You can find just as good quality workouts on youtube like Fitness Blender. I'd rather support this couple that runs FB who work hard to keep their workouts free. They even have very affordable workout plans and eating plans if it's something you need. They are very down to earth and realistic. I have had plenty of facebook friends drink the shakeology and become "coaches". Suddenly people who didn't give 2 figs about me are messaging me about their challenges. A woman from an unrelated group friended me out of the blue. The next thing I know she's, trying to recruit me to be a coach. I gave her excuses and told her no, but it took a few times. I stayed facebook friends because she's actually a really cool person. I highly suspect she quit coaching because she seems quite normal in her posts. All her pages and other social media stuff she promotes about being a coach have ceased. If you need weight loss fitness advice, or emotional help, there's better, more affordable avenues out there. Beachbody is about making money and recruiting people to continue to make money.

I think these are all super valuable and valid points! I am currently a Beachbody coach as well as a Registered Dietitian. When I first became a coach, I did struggle because there were certain aspects I didn't like, but others that I loved. First, I think the workout programs are awesome. I love that they are completely structured from beginning to end and can take you through weeks of workouts and can be done from home. I am a firm believer that they DO NOT take the place of a certified trainer or other fitness professional. I don't have any injuries or anything I am working with and don't have issues with completing the workouts. Someone who is limited or concerned about their safety shouldn't do these workouts from home. I personally do not portray myself as a fitness professional and would never give recommendations outside of my scope. I do give more specific advice about nutrition, but that would be within my scope as a dietitian. I choose to look at myself as more of a facilitator and motivator. I never push the supplements (including Shakeology) as I don't believe they are necessary for success, especially as a RD, but I do think some people may enjoy them. I actually walk my challengers through canceling the shakeolgoy. I also rarely present coaching as an opportunity to others as a 'money-making' opportunity. I actually don't really invite to coaching. My goal isn't to build a great big team underneath me to 'earn me a bunch of money' These programs have been awesome for me and I think they could help others. My goal as a coach is not making a ton of money but tap into my passion for weight management. I want to help others when nothing else has stuck. I think Beachbody can do great things for people, as long as the coach themselves is authentic about the experience and not in it just to make a ton of money. Okay, I'll be done! lol Just my thoughts! I do understand that this company isn't for everyone!

Amazing video hun! I’m 21 and I was a coach for just about 2 years with Beachbody. I attended 2 summits and felt like I was a part of a huge family. I was so invested and connected to the “company’s” goals instead of my own. I like your “4th vital behaviour” of having to invest back into the company all the time.. and it’s just getting worse as they start producing new content for their coaches to publicize. Since quitting I feel a huge weight lifted off shoulders and am grateful that I’m not the only one who has felt the same way. I was a Beachbody coach 3 times in the last 10 years. At the core it is a pyramid design business. I did like the self development aspect. Which I have continued to do. I think some of your points are valid. Some are a little off in my opinion. Like not every successful Beachbody coach is a " blonde bombshell". Many are everyday people that busted their ass to get where they are at. Two things I took away from being a successful bb coach. You have to be a example of what the fitness can do for you. And a good salesperson. And yes I agree Shakeology is gross now. It once tasted really good before the changed the recipe to satisfy athletes that we're testing positive for enhancements because of false readings from some ingredients.

I love the Beachbody product so much. I love Beach Body On Demand. I find so much value to it and the challenge groups. I need a vegan shake so I like their vegan option and you can add banana, berries, or almond butter to it to help with the taste. However- I was a coach for about 5 minutes. I thought since I am good on social media I would be a good coach. But I ended up HATING their social media selling strategy. Messaging people who I haven't talked to in 15 years awkwardly to get them to join the group to then buy the shakes. I had so many friends unfriend/unfollow/never speak to me again in just a short amount of time. They really need to come up with a different strategy to generate leads.

I kept considering writing a blog post about my own experience as a BB coach, but now I don't have to. Your story was literally identical to mine. I absolutely hated bugging people to invite them...or to "get to know them first." I felt so fake. I also didn't like the structure of advancement. I get it from a business perspective, but the fact that you advance to the next level based on how many coaches are under you, rather than how many people you help/sell to always seemed odd to me. And yes, I thought I'd made friends with my team, so when I decided to leave, I left a message in our group to inform them and wish them well. It was met with complete silence by every single one of them. But occasionally my upline still tries to sell to me... I do love the workouts and was happy to be introduced to personal development though. I still have BOD and still read PD. But now I plan to use those skills for my own business, where I can run things how they feel right to me!

I coached for a bit. I’ll be honest. I actually love shakeology. It works for me. That said, coaching should only be approached after a given time and you want to guide people to successfully navigate or provide feedback on Beachbody workouts. What worked for you, what didn’t, etc. Trying to sell a few shakes and make a quick buck should not be the motivation. The coaches that turn me off the most, to be honest, are those that are still out of shape, pushing the hard sell, and have no interest in fitness. Those Facebook selfies of someone drinking a shake. Blech!

So true. I was drinking Beachbody for like 3 months before my coach asked me about coaching and it was because she saw how active I am on social media. I was already sharing my journey on FB. It didn't really work out for me though because I wasn't into the "invite invite invite" thing. And then she wanted to get my mom and sisters to sign up but they don't make a lot of money and I didn't want to pressure them into buying something they can't really afford.

I called out a BB “coach” for recommending a meal prep “hack” that was incredibly unsafe. Any actual nutritionist would know about food safety. She never responded. I can’t understand the liability of calling yourself a coach for nutrition or fitness if you have no real training in it whatsoever. How dangerous. It ruins it for actual trainers and nutritionists who have gone to school to help people SAFELY!

That's just it, we shouldn't need trainers for such basic things such as nutrition, health, and fitness. This should be taught in school and by parents. We shouldn't have to fork out loads of money later in life to figure it out. It doesn't make sense to me how we've turned such basic things into one of the hardest things in life.

I do see your point from the “coach” standpoint. Trying to befriend someone with the purpose of making money seems insensitive to me and too much like a salesperson. But, being someone who loves shakes and who has tried many different protein shakes, I have to say Shakeology is the best tasting one to me! It is something that is subjective like any other food and people should just judge it for themselves. It is expensive, but most protein powders are and if I don’t need a bag monthly, I just defer it to the next month or whatever. I love the workouts and personally have noticed more muscle definition and increase in strength.

The problem is that people are not understanding that there is a difference between a coach and a trainer. A coach is there merely to motivate, encourage good eating habits and enforce the meal nutrition suggested by Beachbody. The trainer is the individual who has created the workout program...ie Autumn Calabrese, Shawn T, Joel Freeman etc. Those are the trainers. Hence, a beachbody coach would not be held liable for any injury one may have obtained due to incorrect movements. Furthermore, note that prior to that start of each workout, each participate has to agree to the terms and confirm they understand risks involved. Sofor those people want to put blame on coaches or even anyone else for injuries, hey! you waived your rights. Next time, read before checking off on it. Also, first let me mention Beachbody has given me amazing results. I believe in the program because it works and it does not try to sell you on anything else other than the fact that what you need to lose weight is healthy eating and exercising. You cant argue with this theory because it is a known fact. As far as Shakeology, that is your option to purchase. i signed up on the auto plan and cancelled before my 30 days because i can't afford to pay $130 a month. What you fail to mention in your video is that #1, just as i did, everyone has the option to cancel the shakeology subscription whenever they want. you can cancel shakeology and still have access to all the programs and still lose weight. Also, how it tastes is a matter of opinion. You may not have liked it, but many people do and there are plenty flavors to chose from. Cafe Latte is an excellent flavor for coffee drinkers and one of my favorites. also, when it comes to shakeology, you need to mention that it is not a weight loss shake or a meal replacement. It is a healthy snack which offers much nutrition, and super foods that other shakes out there do not offer, yes, it is $130 a month but divide that by 31 days in a month and that's what a lot of people pay on starbucks coffee a day! Also, you need to stop making it seem as if Beachbody FORCES you to have Shakeology once a month. You can alway edit your subscription to have the date that it gets shipped to you changed to your convenience. or you just don't have to get it at all. I am a coach and i am not about making money. In fact, i believe i spend more than i make. WHat i love about it is the fact that it keeps me healthy and gives me the opportunity to help others stay healthy. I don't promote or try to oversell. i let people join on their own accord because they have witnessed the changes i have made and want to do the same.

I completely agree with you, Michelle. I used to be a BB coach until about a year ago. I have strong issues with depression and there were some things going on in my life that I just couldn't mentally put in the time to make my business work - which kinda bums me out because I was actually starting to get somewhere with it! I think the issue with this video is that she is refusing to see that it is a business for the coach as well, not just for beachbody. ALL businesses take hard work and dedication, and finding clients and customers (or in this case, challengers and other coaches) - what do you think commercials and advertising does? Or the people standing at Walmart asking you to sign up for a credit card? BB however encourages you to be authentic about it, and to actually care about the people you are speaking to. Sure, sometimes the coach might slip up, or maybe they don't have the right intentions for it, but that is a reflection on THAT person, not Beachbody. Honestly, I miss being a coach, it was a time in my life where I felt the best and the most in control of myself, and I plan on getting back to it when the time is right for me.

Okay, I've got the perfect MLM company: The product I'm selling is called "Showing people you care about them." Go through your contact list. If you see someone you haven't talked to in a while, call them up and pitch their product. It may not feel comfortable, so open with something like, "Hey there, I'm so sorry I haven't talked to you in a while. I was just scrolling through my contacts and saw your name. How have you been doing?" The amazing thing is, all you have to really do is listen to them, and the product sells itself. Make sure you close the deal at the end of the call by saying, "Is it okay if I check in on you now and again?" If they agree, you're in--hook, line, and sinker! Call them back in about a week around the same time and again, just ask how they're doing. If they're going through a hard time, don't tell them about something similar you went trough. Just be sympathetic. The third call is where you close. Just use our sales pitch, "You know, I've gotten involved with a special company that is helping me get in touch with people I care about. It's sort of like the movie 'Pay it Forward.' There's no investment on your part, but we keep each other accountable to make sure everyone is doing their part to reach out to people to show them how much you care. If I get to diamond level, I'm pretty sure I go to heaven. The details are still a little fuzzy, but I enjoy the work, so that's really the payoff." What do you think, Melissa? Want to join my team?

I cancelled my Shakeology after getting my challenge pack because after working the numbers, I couldn't afford to pay an extra $130 a month on top of my grocery bill, no matter how many special mushrooms Shakeology includes. I also got so bogged down with the meal plan. I've even lost my motivation to finish the program 😥

Kimmie Nicole I feel your pain! Don’t get discouraged! What may be easier for you is to figure out how much is in each container. I stick with 3-4 oz (a small fist size) portion of meat for each meal and just stay away from fruits and eat very little carbs. I’m sure it’s about the same as the 21 Day Fix, so if you can nail down your meals without the fix containers, you will be able to meal plan so much easier! You can do it! P.S. I lol at “the special mushrooms” 🍄 😂 Go to my website in the link description. Melissa Blevins I actually ended up doing something similar to that! I figured that the green was about 1 cup, the purple = 3/4 cup, red = 1/2 cup, yellow = 1/3 cup, and so on. I definitely learned to clean up my eating; now I try to eat veggies with everything & eat fruit for sweets & include lots of fat in my diet on the daily, which means I only have to eat 3-4 times a day. Works much better for my body. Yeah, I'm all for superfoods, but most of the ones in Shakeology are literally dried & powdered mushrooms & ayurvedic herbs (reiki I think, Ashwaganda, etc.) with some goji berries on the side. It's really not that special & not worth that amount of money imo. Thanks for the recommendation, I may check it out. EDIT: I went to the link; unfortunately I'm lactose intolerant & don't eat any form of dairy, so this one wouldn't work for me. I appreciate the thought though!

It's actually helping me to stay away from junk food, which was my biggest problem before. I just need to get consistent with working out. There business model is not good. The MLM structure is a product shy of a pyramid scheme. MLM as a whole is predatory. You should NEVER have to pay to start a job. And despite what you think you do not own your own business. You are a sales person for a company. And most of the company’s sales come from within the company itself. Meaning most of its money is made from recruiting and most of its product sales are made by the “coaches”

Thank you for that awesome commentary on the whole BB Coaching gig. I was initially tempted to do it, but a) never saw the need for Shakeology -- too expensive and plenty of legitimate alternatives -- and b) rather immediately recognized the whole pyramid resemblance to their marketing plan. That said, I really do like the Beachbody video series, particularly T-25 and Insanity as well as the less frenetic Tai Cheng. People might legitimately differ about whether they're too expensive or a slick back door to hooking people on the Shakeology and coaching treadmill. But my own personal ranking for those series is excellent for results, production values, and self-improvement.

I made the mistake of thinking she was a friend. And then one day she was gone. And it hurt. *sigh* I am feeling so stressed tonight!!

I watched a Chelsea Pearson Upline Skype call that was posted here on YT and she basically said that she uses the Facebook challenge groups aren’t about anyone’s progress or improved health, it’s all about locking people into the challenge/group so they have to buy buy buy. Once someone stops posting in the group every single day and joining every single challenge she drops them. She asks personal questions for everyone to respond to therefore making them feel cared about and she fishes through those looking for someone to post something she can pull out and use to make BB look better. So gross. 🤮🤮🤮🤮

Thanks for sharing and being so brutally honest! I was a Beachbody Coach for a little less than a year and experienced some of the same concerns/issues very glad I am no longer a coach anymore but very happy that it ended up leading me to my passion for nutrition and wellness and now I am starting up my own business and actually lost 30 pounds from the portion control containers and workout programs! Not all bad but prefer to be in control of my own business with my own services. I am planning on sharing a more detailed story about this on my new channel but it also already includes plant based dishes, minimalism videos and fitness! Would love to hear your feedback

I am not a coach and I absolutely despise MLM's. I shut them down as soon as I can smell one coming... However, I love Shakeology!!! It's the only thing I've been able to take to work and mix with just water and I'm good to go. It gives me energy and curbs my appetite! I've had many many nutrition shakes over the years and this is by far my favorite! Just recently joined BOD and I LOVE the workouts! It's helped me take off 5 lbs in less than 2 months. As much as I absolutely loathe MLM's at least BB offers you something legit and real and helpful. Not stupid jewelry that goes green in a month, wraps that cover 1/4 of your waist and do absolutely NOTHING! That Plexus crap is nothing but a scam! $20 fingernail wraps that you can get the dollar store.... At least I actually got something out of this on!

I'm glad you've found something that you like and that works for you! You should definitely stick with it if that's the case! As I said in the video, Beachbody isn't "all bad". I would highly recommend giving the shake a try in my description. It has 125 calories, low sugar and carbs, and high protein. It doesn't claim to have any "superfoods", but the sea salt caramel toffee is way better than any other shake I've ever had (mixed with just water) and it's so much cheaper than Shakeo. If you don't want to, I totally understand. Congrats on the weight loss! Keep up the good work!

Thanks for sharing your insights. From my perspective though, the experience is what you make of it. BB doesn't give you quotas, nor do you have to push their products if you are that opposed to them, you also make commission for getting people to sign up for on demand service.... BB programs have been great for me. They aren't the only way to get fit, and their products aren't the only one of their kind. But if they work for you, the value is there for the price (specifically the on demand programs). Comments on here about just hiring a personal trainer are hilarious, not many $100 per year personal trainers out looking for work around me.
@PerfectionHangover

Mike P I understand your perspective and completely agree about the programs. I have no problem with the workouts themselves. That being said, the shakeology is where the money is. Coaches simply cannot earn a livable wage without pushing Shakeo.

I had a bad experience with Beach Body. The woman who was my coach (I signed up online, so I guess i just got assigned to some random person) contacted me, and at first was encouraging me, but very quickly started pressuring me to buy expensive products. I signed up for the workouts, and that was it. I asked her a question about portions, and her answer was to guilt me into buying those stupid colored containers (I can use a measuring cup- I don't need those!) that I'd already told her I didn't want. She said it in SUCH a condescending and shaming way- like "Well, if you're not willing to invest less than $20 into your health - I know that these containers have helped me manage my weightloss for more than four years." I was done.

Honestly, I COMPLETELY agree with you! I do believe this is an awesome pyramid scheme for the CEO perspective of things making millions of dollars. I have contemplated becoming one after a handful of girls I follow on IG reached out to me and said I'd be good at it. BUT i believe that being a "coach" is more than just motivating, encouraging, and keeping accountability of yourself and others, its about taking on a FEW clients at a time and working with each one individually to meet THEIR specific body type and adjusting to what works for them specifically. You shouldn't have to promote anything. I don't want to do beach body coaching since I don't feel educated enough to do so! I workout 5 days a week every week and don't need the extra "help" these girls claim to get. I, however, do like the shakeology shakes since they curb by hunger and cravings just a bit, but I still eat in moderation of the foods I already enjoy! Thanks for the video, I enjoyed hearing your opinion along with other videos that have voiced their concern with the company.

I’m a qualified PT and did a degree in sports science and just cannot get behind the ethical practice of trying to shill these over priced shakes/bars especially when they’re being sold by people who don’t have the faintest clue about human anatomy or physical exercise 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️ but yeah I’ve always loved the insanity workouts and the like so it’s worth my coin to pay for the workouts - everything else? I am very against MLM. I also liked the BB workout(s). I did 21DayFix and P90. The Shakleology stuff was okay, but it seemed like magic because I was losing weight with the workouts. HOWEVER. As someone that's a consumer and not a "coach" there's something I HATE about their product that's very scummy. The DVDs seems to be layers and layers of copy protection. Strange encryption, strange chaptering, odd programming, and probably some other things that I don't know about. If your workout DVD has the tiniest surface scratch, dust, or fingerprint... that DVD is useless and buggy whereas most other DVDs (Even Disney films, which has some pretty weird copy protection measures) would be able to play through because of the error correction built into the DVD system. Typically, this will happen about 6 months into the ownership of the DVD. In fact, my Sony BluRay player ended up glitching when I tried to play a faulty DVD. I played the disk, it would stutter like crazy, I would eject the disk, and my Blu-Ray player would stutter and flicker my TV like crazy. I had to totally unplug and re-power my Sony player in order to get it back to "normal." My Old DVD player and my XBox? Same thing. Lots of glitching and stuttering, although it didn't corrupt them like the DVD did with my Sony BluRay player. And do a Google search. Tons of people have complained about this.

They would first try to flatter me with a compliment about how great I looked and how great my account was and how great I’d be at this, etc. But I asked if the “opportunity “ required me to pay anything they told me yes. I immediately knew this was just another one of those types of schemes that I’ve heard so many times before. It’s always the same thing. The only thing that changes is the product. But it’s kind of offensive to me that people try to flatter you to join because they don’t mean it- it’s just manipulation. I just do me and make my posts ( I like how shakeology tastes but that's just me.) when someone wants to sign up they come to me. I don't want to be annoying, and I understand that beachbody isn't perfect. I just try to show my story because I have come so far. Im sorry that coaching did not work for you, but just remember shakeology and supplements are all optional. I never force anyone to try anything they aren't interested in. in fact I tell them good supplements to use if they are on a more restricted budget. I not a high level coach at all. I have been a beachbody coach since 2013 and no I'm not a millionaire because I truly have not put all my energy towards the company but I love love shakeology I have mastered how to make it.. so for me it tastes amazing. I love it. I'm just a regular coach just for the discount and I have lost 90lbs now saying that yes I did it myself but I was directed in the right direction by these trainers and to be honest I rather spend the money on beachbody then going to a gym.. and half the time personal trainers are 200 a week and I have never seen change. So in that aspect beachbody wins for me. My upline is a millionaire and my coach under here is damn close but I dont push product if people ask me what I'm doing then great I send them a link but I dont force it, you have to want to change for yourself... I'm there for the push and support and to make that person's health better..

MLM companies pick on women. Beach Body, I would assume, wants women in their 20s who are ripped and beautiful to sell diet and exercise products. For a long time, the body building subculture has promoted the idea any older teen or young male who is willing to train in a certain way and take a boat load of supplements can win a major physique title. The difference is the pyramid structure and financial exploitation.Avon and Mary Kay also market to women. Amway, USANA, NuSkin, Herbalife, and many other companies seem to try to recruit men and women equally. I lost money 1999-2000. Things have not changed.

That’s pretty much why I left the company. I went to summit in 2015 as well and I learned that this company is not for people who are 19 to early 20s. I met some amazing people though and most have actually left the company as well. I left the company because I thought that the company was heading in the wrong direction. I had a bad experience with hammer and chisel and it just went downhill from there. All the newer programs are exactly the same now and I think they are now trying too hard with the programs. Some of the trainers (not Tony or Shaun) I find very awkward and annoying after their 3rd or 4th program. I found their supplement line to be a total ripoff compared to what I take now and I have gotten better results out of those supplements.

I did Amway for 2 years. Unfortunately the people I thought loved and cared about me no longer did the moment I left. I was at my uplines wedding.. in the front, I was there for her bridal shower ( I even won 'who knows the bride best' game) I spent major holidays with them. They were there for me for my worst breakup. But the moment I left Amway, they no longer cared or wanted to be in my life. They weren't there for me to see me marry my husband. They were non existent in my life by then. So I know exactly what it feels like to drink the "Kool aid" I know how it feels to have people basically shun you and exit your life. They weren't true friends.. and I found that out the hard way. I do beach body, for the workouts and the community. I have no desire to be a "coach" or to drink the shakes, and my coach knows that and respects that. Amway has taught me to not trust MLMs. Sure I've seen people succeed.. but I'm honestly not upline material, I don't have the drive for it. And that's okay. I have no desire to earn money from beach body.. I just want to get in shape, at home and have fun doing it.
