Many of you will be familiar with this 1990 Yugo Sana from the HubNut channel, but at the excellent Fuel Power Party on 11th September 2022, I got to see it for the first time in person. Mr Pink, whose 1990 Mini Studio 2 I was able to drive on the Isle of Wight last weekend, very kindly let me film a walkaround of this former Yugoslavian project. Be prepared for the Fiat Tipo Lampredi engine, various wires which need connecting, Fiat Punto wheeltrims, and really rather very little of any importance at all. Nothing untoward, then!

Great to see so many are interested in the Sana! Video updates on the progression of this project will and do feature on the Fuel Power KZfaq channel as and when there are updates if anyone would like to see how this car evolves. Thanks once again for coming to the Party Joseph! Your presence was much appreciated and it was a delight to see the Rover once more!

Thank you again, Lady Caldwell-Holmes and Mr Bill for the invitation! It was a superb event, looks as if a lot of people on the channel enjoyed it, and the Sana has been popular with the viewers too, which is to be expected, I think. I am looking forward to having a go at some point, if Mr Pink will allow me to.

I'm following this car's revival with great interest, like a lot of others here. It's come up quite nice after a mini-valet. Quite a well-equipped little car. Glovebox looks to have a light inside as well. Wheel trims are from a mid-spec '97-on facelift mk1 Punto and seem to work well on this car. Ian says that there are 2 more of these left, one of which is beige, the other red. Neither are on the road though. The NZ Yugo channel once featured an identical example G410XMJ with a quite high 106000 miles. But that one was very sadly scrapped as recently as March 2017. It would have been a great source of spares for this one.

Yes, this car has been extremely popular on the Fuel Power channel, and rightly so, as they are very interesting. You are right, those wheeltrims are off a Mark I Punto (Mr Pink told me that after I had filmed it). In terms of the numbers left, I am sure Ian Seabrook is right, and there are no others on the road at the moment.

I got to admit I do like the very comprehensive, Instrument cluster design, with it's full a complement of gauges and warning lights, even a rev counter a graphic of the car.

I have seen pictures of a red Sana online, recently too I may add. I think it was found in a garage somewhere and is in better condition than this one, but has been off the road for a number of years. Great to see that it has survived.

Yes, I have heard there is a red one out there somewhere, sir. I don't think any are on the road at the moment, though.

Hello Sir, I recently saw two of these on a trip to Poland. It has to be said thought that I don’t think they would have past MOT requirements.

Yes sir, this one needs some work for the MOT too! I imagine that they are much more common in Poland than here.

I only know of this one and a red one that was found in a garage on the Isle of Wight both off the road at the moment and the one on the IOW is a local car to the Isle of Wight as well as it has DL on end of plate

Those engines are peachy, if it's the Fiat 128 engine. It would also be used in the X19. Very free revving and peppy.

Yes, probably the same Lampredi engine which was also used in the Tipo.

We skipped Bob and Bella by for a reason, sir, so that we didn't get involved in any discussions involving folding campers and forbidden fuel Berlingos, which may not have gone very well in the comments section...

Well this car looks like a mix of Lada Samara and Lada 110. But the engine is less sophisticated, I think.

Not sure, really. It's the SOHC Lampredi engine in 1.4 guise, which was also used in the Fiat Tipo of the time. It was a relatively old design by this stage, but I am not familiar with the sort of engines the Lada Samara and 110 used, so I can't really comment in this respect.

There are none on the road in Australia thank goodness because we fortunately never got them in Australia why are you going on about it good to see a yugo big deal one of the infact the worst car ever sold nake a Morris Marina look good and unfortunately we built them in Australia
