I think more people need to view rebound relationships as their ex being unfaithful. Me and my ex still have a mortgage together. It's only been 2.5 months since we split and he's now on dating sites. It's so so fresh to me, I still sleep in our bed for crying out loud.

Mine isn't really about an ex but someone that I have and had a connection with, came close to a relationship (we wanted to be together) but ultimately, things got difficult on my side and he suddenly jumped to the next person who would take him. About 2 months after their first date, he moved the guy in and it's all so bizarre. He's also changed from his natural role of the more dominant and protective caring type, to having someone who is even more so like that than he is... which almost suppresses that side of him and is totally uncharacteristic - he always likes to be that guy and take the lead. What's interesting is that it's been a couple of years now and we still talk, still really get on and it can feel like there's something still there. At first, he went quite quiet on me when it began and then things got a bit heated, so it's taken a couple of years to get to a really good place again... but when I apologised, it was a matter of minutes before he unblocked me, upon receiving that message. If he was so angry at me and happy with his partner, surely he wouldn't have cared enough and would've just left me in the past? Meeting him again, he went back to that caring and protective person again, was very relaxed and it was a great day. I just find their relationship confusing and unusually misplaced, knowing what I know about him and it almost feels like it was rushed, just to have someone who will take him because they were available at the time and then clinging and settling with them out of convenience. Am I crazy or does that make sense?

Hi clay. A weird scenario for you. My partner and I were together for 3 years. We had our ups and downs like most relationships. I love the bones off him. Well basically we had a row and he moved to a different town to be with his family. (This was 3 months ago) I find out a few days ago that he's in a relationship. Weird question. Can this rebound be a bromance? My ex and I broke up two months ago and all of all of a sudden all I hear about is how he has a great new guy friend and they're planning trips together and all our mutual friends adore him... That part about displacement is so true!!! My ex had never lived with any gf before he moved in with me. After we broke up he almost immediately found a new gf and moved in together with her (I didn’t know this until months later through mutual friend). I don’t have him on any social media so idk what his life is like but he’s been contacting me every now and then “wishing me well”. Hi Clay, my partner and I broke up on the 4th April 2020 after 2 years together. She hooked up with another random on the 12th April 2020. I couldn’t believe how quickly she had moved on. I was in no contact for a month. My granddaughter's first birthday was coming up and she had surgery on her wrist.
