This is terrific. I am an ex Mormon that had my name taken off the records. I have looked into Catholicism and other religions. I stumbled across Jeff Durbin on KZfaq. This led me to Apologia Utah. I am thinking once my broken leg heals, I might attend a service in South Jordan.

Have you attended Christian services? My husband is exmo and wanted nothing to do with church when we met. He finally came with me to fend off other guys. He really enjoyed it, the music, the less formal dress and most important he said he actually learned about the Bible. We’ve been married 27 years and he’s been Christian over 20.

Amen brother I just had my name removed two months ago. Just received my letter. A few days ago from records and attending a Baptist church which teaches the Bible in only the Bible. And actually has a three-year. Three classes on Monday night eight week quarter. College level Bible study course. Which is a little ahead of my capabilities but I like it and like the pastor said I can come and just listen record because they go so fast and been a GED 30 years plus ago. But I love it and I think you’ll love it too and I just love going to church. We have a Sunday meeting morning and we have a Sunday evening. And we actually have a Bible study and service on Wednesday evenings.. And most of the members go on the Wednesday night.

I use to be an LDS member about 20 years ago and everything you pointed out is exactly what always came to me while a member. I always felt that so much of the church literally contradicts the word of God and always disregarded actual facts for "feelings". I always asked to please explain why the BOM contradicted the Bible. The response was always, "it's a feeling that the church is true". That use to make me so upset. As a new member, it didn't take long for me to see that the LDS "church" lives in ignorance and disdain for the actual truth. I really appreciate how knowledgeable you are and how you are answering the questions no one in the church wanted to give me. When I expressed my doubts because prayer was telling me Joseph Smith is definitely not a prophet, I was told I lacked faith. I left and never looked back.

I like to ask Mormons to tell me the gospel. If I was dying and had like 5 minutes left how can I be saved? I’d like to see a debate with the BYU theologians. But then again I feel I might have to repent for listening to such blasphemy. I don’t know. There is a serious mind and heart change the Mormons need. To see the light. Not a counterfeit light. Our call is to deliver the gospel of God onto salvation to them.
@supervegeta1833

You asked how you can be saved according to the Mormon gospel. I will answer this question for you. But first, I think it's important to define salvation and how that differs from exaltation. Salvation is to live in an immortal resurrected body in a degree of Heaven. The lowest degree of Heaven is the Telestial Kingdom. D&C 76 says this about those who are in that kingdom. "But behold, and lo, we saw the glory and the inhabitants of the telestial world, that they were as innumerable as the stars in the firmament of heaven, or as the sand upon the seashore; 110 And heard the voice of the Lord saying: These all shall bow the knee, and every tongue shall confess to him who sits upon the throne forever and ever;". So, according to the D&C, all someone has to do to gain salvation is accept and confess to Christ. Exaltation, however, is to be able to become a God yourself. In order to do that, one must make all the necessary covenants with God through the proper priesthood authority and then keep them.

@@supervegeta1833 I appreciate your comment but it’s super super blasphemous and God calls you to repentance for your idolatry and blasphemy and witchcraft just to name a few. Turn from Mormonism and put your faith in Christ Jesus ( your God and creator) faith in him alone for salvation. Salvation is being saved and that means not perishing in Hell. Salvation is in Heaven with God which you will not see if you do not repent. You and everyone else will never become a God. God has been and always will be the one and only God. He was not a creation that became a God. Read the Bible and throw away the BoM. Your salvation eternal life is not a joke or a game or something to gamble on by some guy in the 19th century New York. Please I beg you to read the Bible especially Romans, Galatians, Ephesians to start at least and repent of your sins including Mormonism and turn to Christ alone.

@@AlexanderTate. I have quite a few questions for you. Why didn’t God just create us all in Heaven in the first place? Why come to Earth to grow if we’re just going to be singing praises to God for eternity anyway? Why didn’t God only create those He knew would obey Him so nobody ended up suffering in Hell? Did God create all the rules that govern eternity? If so, could God create a rule that anyone who breaks a rule can be forgiven if they are sincerely sorry and change? If so, why was Jesus’s sacrifice necessary? What happens to all those who died without ever hearing about Jesus Christ in their lifetime and having a chance to repent of their sins through Him? Why did God create marriage in the first place if it’s just going to cease to exist after this life anyway? Please, I’d like to hear your answer to any or all of these questions.

@@supervegeta1833 Questions answered one by one... If you truly seek, read the Word/Bible. Why didn't God just create us all in Heaven in the first place? We were created to inhabit and populate the Earth for the glory and pleasure of God/LORD/Yahweh. We were created on the Earth and given the breath of life on the Earth and a spirit to those who walk on the Earth. We were given dominion over the animals and were told to replenish and subdue the rest of creation. In essence, we were created to be caretakers of God's creation. Isaiah 45:18 KJV For thus saith the LORD that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the LORD; and there is none else. Revelation 4:11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created. Genesis 1:26-28 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let him have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. Isaiah 42:5 Thus saith God the LORD, he that created the heavens, and stretched them out; he that spread forth the earth, and that which cometh out of it; he that giveth breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to them that walk therein:

@@supervegeta1833 Why come to Earth to grow if we're just going to be singing praises to God for eternity anyway? So much wrong with this question. First, we don't come to the earth to grow. Adam and Eve were created on earth and they were tasked with multiplying and inhabiting the land. See previous question. There is no concept in the Bible of a pre-existence where God has sexual intercourse with a "Heavenly Mother" or "goddess wives" to create spiritual children that choose to enter bodies on earth. The Bible says that God is a spirit not a man...though he is all-powerful and can manifest himself in many forms...burning bush, human man, dove, cloud, fire, etc... God has no need to have sexual intercourse to create spiritual children or a human body. God created through his Word, breathed life into Adam, the Holy Spirit overshadowed Mary so she could conceive the human body of Jesus (no sexual intercourse). The Bible says that we must be saved and adopted into the New Covenant in order to become children of God and receive his Spirit, the Holy Spirit. But even given the privilege of calling God our Father does not make us dieties. We are only human beings, God's creation and will never be more than that though we are promised perfect, resurrected bodies like Jesus had after his resurrection if we are saved. We are not children of God because God had sex to create our spirits. God warns his creation not to worship the creation or envision God or gods in the form of man or beast. That is idolatry, and it is blasphemy to elevate ourselves to the level of God. Jesus was crucified by the Jews for blasphemy because he claimed to be God, but he was innocent of the crime because he WAS GOD. Jesus is the only way that God reveals himself to us since God is spirit. Jesus took on a human body and was fully God/spirit and fully man/body in order to reveal who God is through his teaching and earthly example. Jesus is how God makes himself known to us. He is God's Word. All members of the Trinity/Godhead/one God are spirit and share equally in the essence of that spirit which is God. We believe Jesus and the Holy Spirit have always existed with the Father without beginning or end. The Father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit were never created and can never die or be destroyed. When Jesus died on the cross, his human body died but his divine spirit/essence did not die because God can not die. Ephesians 1:5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, Galatians 4:3-7 But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons. And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father. Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ. Genesis 2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. Matthew 1:18 Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost. Luke 1:30-35 And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God. And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS. He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end. Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man? And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God. John 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. 2 Corinthians 3:17 Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. Isaiah 43:10 Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he:BEFORE ME there was NO GOD FORMED, NEITHER shall there be AFTER ME. Galatians 3:20 Now a mediator is not a mediator of one, but God is one. Numbers 23:19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good? Job 9:32 For he [God] is not a man, as I am, that I should answer him, and we should come together in judgment. Romans 1:20-23 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. Exodus 33:20-23 And he said, Thou canst not see my face: for there shall NO MAN SEE ME, AND LIVE. And the LORD said, Behold, there is a place by me, and thou shalt stand upon a rock: And it shall come to pass, while MY GLORY passeth by, that I will put thee in a clift of the rock, and will cover thee with my hand while I pass by: And I will take away mine hand, and thou shalt see my back parts: but my face shall not be seen. John 1:18 No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him. Matthew 26:63-65 But Jesus held his peace. And the high priest answered and said unto him, I adjure thee by the living God, that thou tell us whether thou be the Christ, the Son of God. Jesus saith unto him, Thou hast said: nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven. Then the high priest rent his clothes, saying, He hath spoken blasphemy; what further need have we of witnesses? behold, now ye have heard his blasphemy. Mark 2:5-7 When Jesus saw their faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee. But there were certain of the scribes sitting there, and reasoning in their hearts, Why doth this man thus speak blasphemies? who can forgive sins but God only? John 1:1-5,14 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not... And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

@@user-qp8ln2yt8r that's because Mormons essentially practice universalism. They don't believe their message will save anyone from hell. On the other hand, protestant Christians have a mission, not to make people happier or more joyful or a forever family, but to pull people from going to hell who believe in a different Gospel. If you saw an old lady about to get hit by a bus you would act differently in saving them rather than if it were a slow moving bicycle heading for them. There is a desperate sense of urgency to preach to Mormons because they believe in a false Gospel that doesn't save. Jude 1:20-23 But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, 21 keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. 22 And on some have compassion, [j]making a distinction; 23 but others save [k]with fear, pulling them out of the [l]fire, hating even the garment defiled by the flesh.

This verse is part of a prophecy given by the angel Gabriel to Daniel about the future of Israel and the coming of the Messiah¹. The verse states that seventy weeks are determined for God's people and the holy city, Jerusalem, to accomplish six goals¹: 1. To finish the transgression 2. To make an end of sins 3. To make reconciliation for iniquity 4. To bring in everlasting righteousness 5. To seal up the vision and prophecy 6. To anoint the most holy place (or the most Holy One) The math has been done and confirmed that the 69 weeks were up to the start of Jesus ministry. The midst of the 70th week(Read on to verse 27) Jesus died on the cross fulfilling this prophecy. This is all true for the Christian though we still live in the flesh. Note #5. After the last book written by John the vision and prophecy were sealed up. Heb. 1 goes hand in hand with this. O.T. prophets, N.T. age ->Listen to Jesus.

Yet these two so-called Christian adults see a problem with it. In fact, thats an immediate flunk of a philosophy 101 class. And the Mormon raises really good point in that these two men actually don't have any authority they just take it upon themselves because they think they have the correct interpretation of scripture. Absolutely anyone can say that.

Do not believe in a father and mother in heaven that love us their children and want what they know is best for each one of us especially the plan of happiness to come here earn a mortal body due to we did not rebel with those fallen in the beginning. So this flesh would rise again as our saviors gift to us as the mediator for our Father's justice the mercy he has for his children. @@bruceterry2688 The false teachings of the LDS church lead me to eternal torment in outer darkness. I will not follow them. I worship the true and living God. Unlike pagan gods, the true and living God is not married. God created Adam out of the dust of the ground and Eve out of Adam's rib, no wife needed! If there were ever a time when there was absolutely nothing, there would still be nothing. God is the first, uncaused cause of everything you see. No one created God. God spoke the universe into existence from nothing, including the planet that the LDS Heavenly Father came from and the star Kolob that he lives near. God is eternal. (Psalm 90:2) God never had to work his way to Godhood. God has always been God. Not everyone is a child of God. I John 3:10 Christ told the Pharisees that they were of their father the devil because they refused to believe that he was God. (John 8) Christ said that their sins would not be forgiven and they would be condemned. It is something we become. John 1:12 But as many as receive him to them gave he power to become the sons of God. The true and living God offers forgiveness of sins, salvation, eternal life, and exaltation for free if you are interested. That is how much God loves you! ❤️ Like the thief on the cross, all anyone needs to do is repent of their sins and put their faith in what Christ has already done for them. 6:34 Apologia is making the same stupid contradictory arguments they always make. They like to quote the Bible about God not changing and then bring up changes that have taken place. Blacks and the priesthood, polygamy etc The problem is, Apologia doesn't acknowledge the Levitical priesthood if they are in line with standard Evangelical teachings, they believe God changed it to a believers priesthood. They don't believe in polygamy, and no matter how they try to cut it, God was very tolerant towards polygamist in the Old Testament but angry with them now. Everybody who professes to be Christian believes one way or another that God changed his mind the second Jesus died. They want to claim our God and church changed with regards to blacks and the priesthood but the reality is they claimed it was the will of God to own blacks as slaves in the 1600s anfmd gradually Evangelical God changed his mind. And for the record I don't share the same views as the brother in the video about the living prophets vs dead ones. There are concrete issues that cannot be changed that are to be found in the scriptures and we do indeed live in a time where if it is possible the very elect are being deceived. Prophets can be like Moses or they can be like Balaam. That doesn't mean I'm going to jump ship and join a protestant church that thinks it's legitimate authority is they think they interpret the Bible better than others because Sola scritura is not Biblical. Even Balaam's true prophetic words are scripture despite his constant attempts to curse Israel.

With all due respect, I’m not sure you know what the Gospel truly means if you think repentance alone is good news. What makes the Good News good is that we can have assurance of salvation through faith in Christ’s perfect life, substitutionary death, and triumphant resurrection. Any effort on our part to win God’s favor is self-righteous and will ultimately make God’s gift of grace useless to you. What Mormons teach, along with all others, is an impossible gospel, which puts the burden of perfect obedience upon the back’s of dead men and women.
