I have welded a 4 inch stub on my mud bucket then i have a pole that fits over the stub and bolts on and thats what my receiver goes on that way your boom and stick can be in any position and still be accurate. Its doesnt effort loading trucks at all. Great video and good work mate from Australia

My pleasure! I was really excited to get it out in the field and use it in a real world application. It does have its cons like I mentioned throughout the video, but overall I was pleased with it.

Great Video. I have a smaller machine so I would probably do without the remote-in-cab-unit. But this is definitely something I'll go for!

Thank you! And that’s Awesome! There is all kinds of systems and gadgets out there for different uses. I find this one is a solid all around choice and not as expensive as other fancy ones out there.
@jasonashby7630 Жыл бұрын
You should Demo an idig system. Keeps grade across the entire range of the stick and bucket rotation. Yes it costs 3x more, but 5x more effective.
@dirty.diggers Жыл бұрын
I’ve heard they are good! Might have to try it. Have you used one? Any flaws to it other then more cost?

Looks good I got the spectra CR700 but thinking to upgrading to this or maybee LR60 tho

Nice! I found this to be perfect for our use currently, the LR 60 I believe is the same as the 50 plus it does slopes If I remember correctly.

Hi good videos lad , I use a LR50W aswel, I use mine most of the time in excavation mode, what setting do you have yours, I’m pleased with mine saves jumping out wasting time , once you get used to it you use it all the time 👍

Hey man thank you I appreciate the feedback! So far I’ve been pretty pleased with ours and only used it in excavation mode as well so far. It is for sure a time saver once you get used to it 😁

Hey there man just wanted your thoughts on the magnetic mast setup? Do you feel like it worked properly and was always secure to the tractor? I was thinking about getting a similar setup and I’m checking on how well and how much bouncing around you think it could take without jarring free from the stick.
@dirty.diggers Жыл бұрын
Hey thanks for watching! So far from my experience it has been very stable while digging and shaking out the bucket etc. the magnet is very strong and holds very firmly in place. It’s hard to remove it with all your force, you need to disable the magnet to get it off easy

So even if the stick is not plumb, you can still hit your grade, correct? The fast blink green would indicate stick is out but on grade; slow blink green would indicate stick is in but on grade.
@dirty.diggers Жыл бұрын
To hit your grade precisely it should be a solid green line. If it’s blinking it means your not plumb so you won’t get as accurate of a grade level

What if you’re on uneven ground do you have to adjust the receiver, laser receiver up and down or not?
@dirty.diggers21 күн бұрын
It does make things a bit more challenging but you want to try and be roughly level in general when digging. But the short answer is no it shouldn’t. The height is based on the boom being plum so that height doesn’t really change even if the machine does a bit

I bought mine a couple years ago and now I’m fixing to try it out and use it for the first time

@@dirty.diggers I was looking at the gl412n-2 package with the receiver that mounts on an excavator. Any ideas on whether that’s a good package or not?
@adamsfamilynfun1409 Жыл бұрын
Also I’ll be mainly using a mini at first for awhile
@adamsfamilynfun1409 Жыл бұрын
Also can the laser receiver read the laser from the back of it so you can still see the receiver if you were dragging away from the laser? Or does the laser always have to be hind you and to the side?
@dirty.diggers Жыл бұрын
@@adamsfamilynfun1409 it is a good set up depending on what you’ll be doing. But for basic digs or even minor slopes I think the 412 can do that
