Dang.. I've been the Macro King for decades, it used to be the only way to get things done in my environment.

Impressed that ChatGPT can do that! I use a similar macro that I've distributed to my colleagues at work. But I'd make just one small addition to that code. I check at the top of the macro that the selection is actually a range, to trap the error caused by the user inadvertently invoking the macro when (for example) a chart object is selected: If Typename(Selection) "Range" Then Exit Sub

Awesome. I don't know when Center Across Selection became available, but I only found it a couple of years ago after using Excel for decades and hating Merge & Center. I had a simple one line Macro that I had assigned to the QAT, but this macro is much better! Thanks!

Really like this macro, I should have done this a long time ago Side note: as i step through VBA Code many times, i have set a button on my mouse to do the key stroke F8. now I just need to make this macro the 8th item on my QAT. so i can select the cells, hold ALT and click the mouse button (so its like ALT F8 - to use the 8th item in QAT)

Thanks for sharing this macro. I’ve asked ChatGPT and the Google equivalent for a macro that cycles through a range of transaction details and determine which items agree in aggregate to a summary number from the bank statement. Alas, no success yet.

I looked at this again, and seeing if a chain can be set off, by using python to open the excel files (say a batch of them) (using ChatGPT to do the heavy lifting), and then call any VBA macros from the Personal workbook, since somethings Python isn't as good at, as VBA (but you can the use Python to call VBA, which is a powerful combination!)

Nice trick..can you please also share a similar example for a rolling month function. I guess that function for now does not exists on Excel

Many thanks for the "Easily Create a PERSONAL.XLSB Workbook" tutorial; I didn't know XLSB can store VBA code. A question that I have is: in a virtual environment (Citrix, e.g.), if the servers are a bit tired, they can strip your VBA code from your XLSM files. Do you know if XLSB is immune to such behaviour?

Will this work across multiple workbooks, or is it just the one you were using at the time? Does the workbook have to be macro enabled?

But now I get "Personal.xlsb is locked for editing ..." every time I try to open Excel, so what can I do about that?

Very good and many thx for all your video's. In this case I have small remark. The marco will run into an VB-error when selection all cells. As such it is better to change: Selection.Cells.Count to Selection.Cells.CountLarge. However than the system will 'hang' due to the big numbers of cells to check. As such a maximum needs to be add. Chat GPT helped me out with a quick request. I added about 30 buttons throughout my Excel app I built. I wanted to add a Tool Tip for each one so I asked Chat GPT if there's a quicker way to do this and it kicked out this VBA code (shown below) for me. I added the line wraps to reduce the width and removed the comments. I added it to my Quick Access Toolbar as well.
