Hello! Useful and interesting, Thanks. I have EXCEL 2016 but no Map Chart feature - it seems that one needs to have the complete Office 365. Is that right? Any alternatives?

How can I change the data for a country and add or delete countries and regions? I want to show all countries in the regions of Canada, North America, Central America, and South America. I also want to be able to show different places in a country -let's say I have 5 sites to service in Mexico. How can I do this? Is there a day=ta chart missing where I can make those necessary changes? Please send me your Email if possible. Thank you. Lars

do you have any idea wy my excel dont have filled map on INSERT option ? instead it only offers the 3D map . i dont know why , maybe yall been thruu the same ???

Hi. I've tried this process several times but I keep getting stuck. I type the OFFSET and COUNTA functions exactly as you do but I get errors. Is it possible you show the full dialogue boxes especially when finalizing the MAP. Thank you

Hi, this is very interesting thanks for sharing it. I'm getting the error message "data is too large" in the select data option. I just wanted to revise it by cities which are 81 currently in my country. Could you please support me how to fix this? Thanks

I've got a list of 60 countries and get the same "selected range is too large" warning. Were you able to get around it?

Hi, are you using Excel Online? In that case clear browser cache or change another browser to see if the issue can be fixed. What’s the size of this Excel file? Please check if you run into the error in a simple Excel file.

if i want to use the same methodology but not on a world map, but in a particular country, let's say Syria. then Syria have governorates and within each governorates there are districts. how can i link such thing?

Tarek Al-ahejri try to create a list of the governatorates of the Syria and repeat the same procedure. The map is linked to the bing database, if your list is available there the map will be shown.

Plz does dynamic maps work with coordinates , regions or specific locations .. or it's only for countries ?

Safaa Mohamed you can realise map charts with countries and usually also for regions and provinces. As you can see on office support webpage, it can be applied also for county in UK. Hi John the formula of the offset function is : OFFSET(reference, rows, cols, [height], [width])

How did you get the list of countries to begin with?

Hi Fam, you can copy the list of countries from wikipedia or from my excel file that can be downloaded from the link in the description.

Hi Dominika, try this: 1. Right click the slicer and click "Report Connections..." 2. Select all PivotTable and PivotChart reports to connect to the filter Let me know if it works!
