This week I travel to Liverpool FC to deliver sand :)

We are looking for a trailer mechanic with an HGV class 1 licence. Flexible hours, good pay and truck load of respect for the right person. Contact Danny on 01942 818800 or traffic@jamesbooth.co.uk
James Booth are looking for a mechanic / trailer mechanic who can carry out daily repairs to our tractor units.
The responsibilities of the position will include, but are not limited to:
General maintenance and minor repairs to our Volvo tractor units;
Servicing, maintenance and repairs to our Fruehauf, Stas, Wilcox and Weightlifter trailers;
Tyre Inspections and maintenance.
Inspections;
Maintenance logging and record keeping;
Alloy and steel welding experience for repairs;
MOT preparations as well as a good general mechanical background;
Class 1 HGV driving licence
This is a full or part time position Monday to Friday (negotiable hours) with Saturdays as required and negotiable salary depending on experience and qualifications.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Salary: £30,000.00-£40,000.00 per year pro rata

Don't worry about your lack of knowledge of football, I don't have a clue either. I was working at a Hotel in St Albans, I asked the maintenance manager there, who are all the footballers that are knocking around ? He looked at me as if I had just come from Mars, and abruptly said Arsenal! Turns out he was one their biggest fans. Then he added, pointing at a mercedes car " that's Arsene Wenger's car" I did not have a clue who he was, but also I did not have the nerve to ask who he was. After I called back to our office and asked one of our guys "who Arsene Wenger was?" only and be met with "are you having a laugh" I can't win! LOl

Wow been so long you now have grey in the beard! Yes we got the ginger reference, picking up the audio recorder, Gingerly! Hi Tom, just come across your channel, great vlogs. I met you when your where delivering the salt to Junction 25 M1, I had to supervise you all tipping, then you was going to load up with that fancy sand, and you had to wash out your trailer first. Your a credit to your firm. Your top bloke. Good look finding a HGV mechanic. Look forward to vlogs

Hi Tom, nice to see you again, I can't remember if I mentioned it but I've got a permanent job with Perry's Recycling now and 6 weeks in and I am really loving it. This week getting trained on the RORO and Paperbank lorry with the HIAB and they are both Volvo FH's🥰 really lovely drive too, had to collect the Paperbank lorry on Wednesday from Keynsham as it had been in for weight testing, still getting used to the electronic parking brake but the reversing camera is the clearest I've seen 😀 have a good week and hopefully you get the cable for the sheet fixed

Yes pulling into a yard and sitting there thinking 'where tf am I supposed to go' is something I can relate to on a regular occasion, like you said you hope you picked a good spot, then hope a minion will pop out soon and guide you to a clue. Even in the busy truck places like the Docks or Rail Ports half the signs are out of date or the area you want isn't on any sign or it's worn off on the road. I too double satnav though mine is the works DCM and a Tomtom, the works one regularly takes me to the wrong place so I don't trust it, and you're right the tomtom isn't that accurate as it's not detailed when zoomed in, but once i've been there and marked the entrance it's spot on if I go there again, the works one doesn't allow you to mark the correct location as they fear that drivers will abuse it just to mess with other drivers.
