Sharks fan here, I’m sorry for all of you. My A’s are going through the same problems and I don’t wish that on anyone. I hope you guys do get the yotes back and I will definitely be a fan and root for your guys squad.

Good words from Doan and I will cherish the memories I had with the team for 16 years and I will cheer for his son Josh doan and will see what the next chapter is and yes it’s sad and maybe there is last hope left for tomorrows news

We moved here in 87. At that time, the only pro team here was the Suns, when the played at the “Madhouse on McDowell” at the State Fairgrounds. Been here for the relocation of the Cardinals and Coyotes and also the MLB expansion of the Diamondbacks. I’ll NEVER like the Suns or Cardinals but I’m a diehard Diamondbacks fan and I’ve given any/everything I can give to the Coyotes. In no way do I want them to go but they’ve pretty much been an afterthought the whole time here and the players deserve so much more!!!! Yes, I’m aware that playing any sport professionally is a privilege and not a right, but again, so many people have given everything they’ve had to this franchise and at times, those people have not been the number 1 priority to the franchise.

The Coyotes moved here in the Valley from Winnipeg the year I turned 18. Which means, the team have spent my entire adult life in Arizona. Now for all of it inside the past 28 years to get taken away like this. It hurts. I honestly can say this much, rather of me figuring out which other team now to cheer for, I decided against all of that. Instead, I no longer care about watching the NHL anymore to cheer for another team that's not Arizona Coyotes.. That's just half of how I feel about this. The other half of how I feel is not a good idea for me to say in this comment!

The owner after the sale wil still own the name "Coyotes" as well as the Kachina Yote logo. So the team leaves.. League has weirdly approved an expansion team for AZ..so he has 5 years to get it built and they will most likely make a whole new team with the Kachina logo and name will be Coyotes. Utah will have to make thier own logo. Team name ect.. So the very dim bright side as a Yotes fan myself if that they make return from the dead in 5 years with same logos.. won't be this team and this staff but the Yotes will be back in Phoenix soon.

Rewind back to 1996, when a young boy's heart broke as he felt helpless, losing his NHL hockey team from a passionate Canadian market to some city in a southwestern hot desert. That boy wished upon a star that one day, the desert would also lose that team and feel the same pain he felt. 26 years later, the wish the boy forgot he made came true. 🫢 Sorry, Yotes fans 🫣

That was what 28 years ago? Move on chief, it’s not like the Arizona area fans took your team. Blame your old bunkass ownership. At least you got your team back that somehow had attendance issues with a good team.

Shame on Phoenix Suns ownership for not opening the doors to the Coyotes to go back into their arena until a new facility could be built. It’s a slap in the face to the sports community and all the hockey fans who follow basketball too. It’s unbelievable that the area has two major league arenas, but the team is still leaving town.

The Suns don't own the arena. They don't have any control over who else appears there. Don't blame this on Ishbia. He has nothing to do with this.

@@SecretAgentBartFargo: OK, I thought the Suns did own the arena. Have to dig deeper into that. Well, either way that should have been an option for the Coyotes even with some of the obstructed seats.

Did the Coyotes ever explore moving into the War Memorial where the Roadrunners used to play? During their years in the WHL and WHA, they put up better attendance numbers than the Coyotes did for a year or two.

@@philblady5559 Serious question, is that place even available to host any event(s) safely for that amount of time? Legit. I’m not being an instigator. Sometimes it’s very easy to miss the context of the conversation through this style of communication. It’s happened to me on multiple occasions. It would be a trip for me because when we first moved here, we used to see Suns and the occasional Roadrunners games and they were fun!!! Over the years we’ve seen a handful of concerts there during the State Fair. I’m pretty sure they last time we were there was for a Stone Temple Pilots concert so that should say something. One more thing, was the vendor who used to go up and down the sections and bark, “red licorice” from back in the day, too? Anyway, it’s only Thursday but have a good weekend, everybody.
