Because the media mostly have been busy creating the bad guy narrative for the past decade, people missed getting to know what a great human being he is. Humble, funny, articulate and brutally honest. His achievements speak for themselves and I see much more positivity now than ever.

That’s the difference between tennis and football f example.. well 1 of the differences. They travel on tour together so much or the year, and become friends. Ofc, Novak is also a friend of Eurosport so he knows every host there.

Surely.. There are few super coaches who have played their roles fantastically in chiseling the Novak of today like Marian Vajda, Boris Becker and finally Goran Ivanisevic. Novak's serve has reached it' pinnacle after Goran took over the charge. Moreover, they get along well on and off the court. Now, many times Djokovic's serve bails him out from the trouble and fires more aces due to Goran's supreme contribution

Why? Why? Why did sports journalists not have a normal approach to Novak throughout his entire career? Why did they always have a negative approach? He needs so little. Motivation I’m sure he has, but having not played much competitive tennis before a tournament is missing the real experience of real matches vs different opponents. So the first couple rounds will be shaky, finding the rhythm, and if he passes them he’ll go deep. Good luck Nole!

I love Novak! No more big 3. Fed has beem retired, Rafa and, Novak are still playing incredible but age catches up with you. Serena has evolved away and Sharapova and Henin is done with tennis. Venus needs to play for fun. This group of tennis players really brightly shined the world of tennis to become main stream. Now tennis is still there, but not as mainstream.

I think he’s worked through a lot of his dark side over the years. He still gets mad at himself in poor performance but that’s his intensity. Really a good guy I think and just brilliant.
