I m surprised the majority of the dinosaurs are found in big rock national park. I have several theories on why they are congregating in this area alone. 1. Maybe the dinosaurs were there due to genetic memory. Their ancestors must’ve gathered here in the past. 2. Simply, The majority of the population live there. Big rock could be the dinosaurs’ main stronghold, A central population, perhaps cause we know there are several populations found all over the world in the film. 3. It could be one of their only wild nesting grounds where they can safely breed. What do you guys think?

Well they were captured and taken to big rock if I’m not mistaken. I guess some of the dinos just didn’t leave

Could be that the Lockwood Estate was located somewhere in close proximity to Big Rock. The Park is located in California, so it would make sense, geologically speaking, that when all the dinos ran loose, most of them resided in that particular area.

Big Rock is close to Lockwood Mannor, they just moved and nested there, at least the ones from the first outbreak of 2018.

@@autisticshakespearianyo it is the Lockwood Estate is about 20 miles away from big rock from the information about the short film and on the website many animals like triceratops , Sinoceratops , paras ,stegosaurus and ankylosaurus stayed in the area for good reason I guess. it's warm ,good food all around them and water. they did go through a lot when they got captured in 2018 so I guess they wouldn't go far.

I hate the Jurassic world movies. My main gripe with the Jurassic series is the fact that it portrays these animals that once roamed the earth and acted like any modern animal would, as movie monsters. Animals acting in a way they would, and looking the way they pull can be plenty terrifying. Imagine the prehistoric planet rex chasing you down.

You can see in the prologue that the Department of Wildlife is actively hunting them down, although I believe they're just getting tranquilized. Realistically, they wouldn't be able to get ALL of the dinosaurs if they usually stay in the woods, especially the smaller ones. Just look at the Midwestern US's feral hog problem

The Jurassic franchise has never been humans vs dinosaurs. Dinosaurs have never been the villain. There are a number of plot lines in this movie, one being Owen and Claire getting Blue's baby back. I'm looking forward to the original 3 interacting with Blue at some point.

I think that shot was filmed even before Jurassic World, note the lack of rainforest-y trees in the shot compared to when Zach and Gray stumbled upon the old visitor centre in Jurassic World

But ... Tyrannosaurus lived at the end of the Cretaceous Period, about 100 million years after the Stegosaurs. They lived closer to our own present day timeline than they did to Triassic and Jurassic life forms.

0:21 I am quite suprised the ruins of Jurassic world still survived the eruption despite the lava covering a large portion of the island. Also on 0:23, I am pretty hopeful about that small peninsula in the far left behind the volcano. It could potentially still host a remnant dinosaur population.

0:21 probably doesn't imply that; It looks more like images of the park ruins before the 2018 eruption (it looks almost identical to when the rescue operation occurs). And probably the park was destroyed by the gases, not by the lava that concentrated in the areas near the volcano. Also at 0:23 it is incredible that this peninsula has survived; Isla Nublar was preserved much better than I expected.
