If the last 3.5 years have been special to him … then the rest of your non-coaching life should be exceptional. I can’t imagine him ever coaching in the NHL again. In saying that, I’d be even surprised if he coaches at any level in the near future. Who’d hire him at this point? He’ll never change. Why should he? In his mind, he hasn’t done anything wrong … ever!

Hockey people are largely sociopath's who would hire Hitler if they thought it would fill the seats. And they fool most people into thinking they are "the best of the best". It's sickening really.

3:28 "You created a culture in Detroit" This fluff piece did not age well and is why legacy media is dead. Babcock inherited a team in Detroit, he didn't create sh!t. NHL players will always gravitate towards platforms like Spittin' Chiclets because of their honesty.

We all said things we regret but most of us didn’t cause another human to have a nervous breakdown by verbally assaulting them over and over and over…you should thank Franzen for that cup in 2008 and then apologize for ruining his life. Of course you’re not man enough to do either. If I was on the bench when you were verbally assaulting Franzen I would have gave you the old BC two hander…

Did not want Babs here . I wasn't a fly on the wall in Toronto or Detroit , but got a real bad taste in my mouth after the Toronto exit . he sounds committed and refreshed. I think it is a real good opportunity to coach in Columbus . its really coming together here with a real shot a being a contending team , thanks Jarmo .i am going to support his hiring . he is our coach and we should stand behind him . Welcome Coach wishing you great success.

It was well known Babs was universally hated by players and had a lousy reputation. Even old school type players like Chris Chelios, who played under Mike Keenan in Chicago, hated Babcock's guts.
