In our third and final vlog from Shanghai (and for the year) we head just out of Shanghai to Suzhuo's Bacheng, Yangcheng Lake area which is famous for their hairy crabs also known as mitten crabs or 大闸蟹 (da zha xie) in Chinese. These hairy crabs are an absolute delicacy not just in Shanghai but across China and we were visiting during the best time to have them.
Shanghai locals know that Yangcheng Lake is the hometown for the tastiest hairy crabs around and we were fortunate enough to be invited both inside the restaurant's kitchen and even taken out to the owner's private farm after lunch to get a real behind the scenes experience.

The restaurant is listed on Google maps (which you can't access without VPN in China) but the address and marker look wrong, so if you want to find this restaurant you'll need a Chinese map like Baidu map or enter it into your Didi ride hailing app. Copy and paste the restaurant name in Chinese to locate it.
