As an African “heterosexual” person (I have never had to describe myself like this…Lol) I don’t see the need to attack or imprison someone b/c they are not attracted to me or someone of the opposite gender. There have always been gay ppl in Africa, just as there have always been left-handed ppl, there are also ppl who are very tall, some very short, some ppl are exceptionally gifted in intelligence, we also have ppl who are not attracted to anyone and prefer to be by themselves. None of these is a crime. As long as you’re not harassing someone who doesn’t want to be with you, you are not going after children, like many African men who legally marry little girls, as long as you are not changing genders, creating additional confusing genders, doing gay parades, or any of the confusing madness going on in America and Europe then you are fine in Africa as you always have. I wish our African ppl would use our God-given energy to fight against corruption with the same commitment that we are now using towards our own African brothers and sisters.

@ 16:13 the humble Prof Sonyinka slides in his gangster move by giving an open warning to the fake propaganda manufacturers telling them to be affraid of the dark corners and suddenly he realized how raw and impact full remark that could be easily used for mass action, he excused himself for " getting carried away by the subject". But surely his statement about the dark corners threat wasn't meant to be serious and taken literally or was he ????? Please feel free and drop your comments and opinions. I promise I won't hold you accountable or responsible for your rhetoric. ✌😆😂😂😂😂

Say whatever you wish, our hope is in Biafra. The youths are apathetic because the alternative presented to them did not satisfy their yearnings. The political aspirant from the East was not in tune and did not articulate his people's aspirations, why then, is he suprised that they didn't vote him? Was he expecting the other regions with different interests and equally suitable candidates to abandon their own and go for him? If they have their heads in the clouds, the same can not be said of the youths especially, those from his constituency and he didn't do enough to persuade and convince them.

Soyinka was once a role model until he became one of the strong voices that practically removed gej to install dictator Buhari. Soyinka of today speaks to the right, left and centre whenever it suits him. As always hausa/fulani Buhari betrayed the yoruba voices , now they are speaking against him

I think the question you should ask yourself is why GEJ lost to someone he clearly defeated 4 years before. Everyone, including Soyinka and Sowore practically supported GEJ in 2011, the man had the love of most Nigerians. It is obvious he did something so bad that Nigerians wanted him out at all cost and didn't care that they had to look at someone they had been ignoring since 2003. Stop making it look like a tribal issue, a president was so bad that the frustrated people so much that they didn't mind trying someone who had equally been bad, but had faith that he would not be as bad as the current one at the time; turns out he ended up being worse. Let is not make it seem like because the likes of Soyinka and Sowore supported Buhari in 2015 and so we wont care to listen to the facts they speak now, that's plain immaturity. If the elections were to be held void of electoral malpractice, Buhari was going to win the election fair and square, irrespective of whether sowore or soyinka or others were in his support.

@@pelumioyefeso8717 Same lame excuse, the person Buhari was known by even those of us who weren't born in 1983 that he truncated democracy. The yoruba narrative of Gej who allowed democracy to be in his tenure had corruption running around freely(like there was corruption only under Gej's tenure). Today Buhari has presented the largest budgets year after year with nothing to show yet there's no corruption even though since 2015 corruption index has been increasing and there's been open corruption protected by Buhari. 2015 - 2019 was the worst in the history of Nigeria yet the yorubas still propped up Buhari in 2019(what's the excuse for 2019?). Fact is if the hausa/fulani presents Abacha if he came from the dead the yorubas will still prop them up. Before you talk of tribal sentiments I am also a yoruba but not the tribalistic one.
@pelumioyefeso8717

@@danieltob6362 bro, my statements about you not making it a tribal issue is not taking your tribe into consideration neither is your tribe important in this discussion. Stop talking about what happened between post 2015 elections and 2019, that cannot influence the 2015 elections, buhari could have turned out better or turned out worse so don't try to play the all knowing card. If you say the last 4 years have been the most corrupt tenure in Nigeria's history, you are entitled to your opinion on that which is fine, but as at before the elections in 2015, Nigerians knew that GEJ's tenure was the most corrupt ever which is a reason many wanted him out at all cost, that they voted another who some would say came in and has even proven more corrupt doesn't change the fact that the predecessor deserved to be voted out. Now what amazes me is that some folks like you say it as if the yorubas put Buhari in power in 2015, GEJ's numbers from the SW and SS in the 2015 elections were just above half of what he had in 2011, that speaks volumes bro. One thing is clear, Nigerians did not want GEJ in 2015, and if he had lived up to expectations, people would not have turned to Buhari. Am i then blaming GEJ for the current predicament, heck no, all I am saying is stop giving the narrative that because folks voted buhari in back in 2015, they cannot complain now, those same folks voted GEJ in 2011. Had GEJ won in 2015, and turned out worse, people would still come out and say we should have voted Buhari in 2015. When you say things like "if the hausa/fulani presents abacha . . ., yorubas would still prop them up", the same yorubas voted heavily in favour of GEJ in 2011 for goodness sakes when this same Buhari was there. You would see that Buhari clearly had way lesser numbers from the SW in the 2019 elections because he clearly did not live up to the expectations.

@@pelumioyefeso8717 fact is its always about hausa/fulani, yoruba when it comes to who becomes the ruler of Nigeria. It has always been a game of numbers whether there are free and fair elections(there has never been a free and fair election in Nigeria).the nation has always been divided along different regional lines whenever it suits the occasion. When it comes to who becomes the ruler only two regions are manufactured(north and south). A Gej couldn't have become the president if not for yoruba votes, a Buhari wouldn't be Nigerian president without yoruba votes. We can run away from truths when it bites but truth remains.and when I say yoruba votes I mean the yoruba elites because the elites in every region decides which candidate gets the numbers. There's no such thing as election in Nigeria, the better rigger takes the day courtesy of the elites,godfathers or whatever the kingmakers are called. One discussion people don't engage in Nigeria is the budgeting of outrageous amounts to inec to conduct elections that are just a mockery of Nigeria. The argument of gej's tenure being extremely corrupt(every government in the history of Nigeria was extremely corrupt)is because vested interests chose to make it a big issue. Today Abacha's loot is still being returned to Nigeria but Buhari never agreed Abacha was corrupt because he was part of that regime. Today you don't hear how big corruption is in this administration because. .... But my question is what about 2019? Why was Buhari propped up by the yorubas again if the first term was abysmal? The yoruba elites were at work again. And it was so openly done again. 2019 is not over and the complains have started again. Am inlove with my oppressors.

@@danieltob6362 Now you are making some valid points and understanding my perspective. I explained earlier that the votes in the SW in 2019 were more divided than 2015, APC lost Gubernatorial elections as well which is a statement that shows dissatisfaction in their performance. Now I am not going to go into the who Nigerian electoral politics because its a long story and its never straight forward. All I wanted to point out was that Soyinka did nothing wrong in voicing out against GEJ and I stand with him in voicing out against buhari as well. Now did he make a mistake in supporting buhari, of course he did, and he has backed tracked in light of these obvious facts on ground just as many others including sowore, it shows objective critisism unlike those who supported buhari in 2015 and are still hypocritically supporting him now despite all that is happening. Now, do we fault their bad sense of judgement as to why they choose buhari in 2015 to start with despite seeing him as a military dictator, i can't say. I did not know what the buhari regime was and reports you see now would be painted the way the source wants it and cant be compared to how it was for those who witnessed it many of whom still voted him in 2015. However, in my opinion Nigerians felt GEJ has performed much worse than the former president who was also a former military ruler and had no problems in trying out another ex military ruler which turned out to be near suicidal. Nevertheless let us not be misguided and become in-objective in our perspectives
