Prof. Usman Yusuf, Executive Secretary at the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) discussed his plan to transform the institution and the way health insurance works in Nigeria. I pray for people like you who are present but hidden in ALL parts of Nigeria be discovered and given the chance to move Nigeria forward irrespective of religion/ethnic affiliations. For you as a person, I pray for you to be given the opportunity to head the health Ministry itself one day by the special grace of God.Amen

The NHIS has been a cash cow for top management. It failed 10 yrs age due to the problem of reconciliation of accounts for the HMOS AND SERVICE PROVIDERS. The scenario playing out is that the secretary used those whom he trusted to work with him.This gave rise to the alleged misconduct. He recommended what he had power to do. Those he chose may be controversial but he was within the law.All he need do was document his actions and retire expended funds. This is a case of good intentions but unanticipated consequences. Let him be . He is an outsider. My advice is paste the Cuban model on a new blank page and give the government the old NHIS to unravel.The NHIS cannot be fixed because it was a bad government policy

My brother do you know the HMOs? If you do fine but ifnot they are the 😈 that are preventing the capture of Nigerians on NHIS they manipulate the system. They are just middle men but always don't pay to hospital what the should which bring the collapse of the scheme
