Honestly, Cutler was the one I wanted you to review. Because he's the fucking man. He got astronomically huge, and he can still train, because he didn't squat 800lbs and snap his shit up. He trained smart, and got bigger than an actual planetary object, and for that he'll always have my respect.

Have you notice how Jay lately changed? He seems happy, chill and relaxed now, when some of his "prime" videos or interviews were almost depressive. I still remember his face when he was saying - Eating, no stop eating, no taste just eating, it is f... tireful. So cool to see him shining now.

It's the drop of PED use coz it makes you feel miserable inside. I don't know if Jay banged up his system and on permanent TRT which is a case in some pro bodybuilders but it should be on feel like a normal hooman being levels since he's retired and best if he can prolong his life more from all the PEDs he took back in the day.

Jay’s “daily eating” video was always one of my favorites. The sheer weariness and contempt in his eyes and voice when he said the eating was the hardest part is so candid. He’s a good dude with a good head on his shoulders, and at his peak a grotesquely colossal monstrosity in the best possible way. Unimpeachable legend.

Working out to failure! Repitively hard, but at the same time easy. Eating thousands upon thousands of calories each, and every day? Oh hell no, don't touch me with that. I struggle eating just a thousand! Eating sucks! I mean I am terminally ill, so yeah you can cry me a river as I'm to weak myself, but who cares that is besides the point. Even in my prime I hated eating like 4k a day. Seeing what the elite athletes eat I am like yeah screw that. I think it would make me food adversed having to stuff my gullet so often. So hearing Jay be like, "ugh.. More food." Is nice to hear. I'd be depressed too. Wouldn't it be nice if there was a 2,000 calorie pill? I think so. Fun fact! Studies have shown the best for hydration is actually... (Ashkually) skim milk! Crazy wild I know?! Who would have thought. Than the list went skim, Pedialyte, sports drinks(not Prime), coanut water, watermelon juice, other fresh juices with some bottled, and then water. Turns out your body uses or excretes a lot more than just electrolytes, and water. The metabolism seems to need more macros and micros than we think. Anyway Google if you don't believe me.

16:00 Regarding Cutler's seemingly random approach. I started doing this a couple years ago. I'm not a bodybuilder, just a lifter. I used to track every exercise, every rep. It wore me out. After a while I realized that my ability to recover varied SIGNIFICANTLY week to week due to being 44 years old and a stressful life and thus I stopped tracking. I started listening to my body and how I felt during the sets, between the sets, and during my recovery day(s). That one change TRULY made a massive difference and now I know so much more about getting a proper stimulus and I enjoy my exercises so much more.

I don't buy that. You can't know if you are even building muscle if you are fat. More mass on that gigantic mass will radically decrease your skin quality. You would even hurt your chances to get ready for a show in time. I don't think many elite bodybuilders do/did huge bulks. At least not nearly as often as we seem to think. From what I see they get their bodyfat to healthy levels in the off season to function and train properly. Of course that might mean 30 pounds of fat and so much eating the week after competing, also absorbing a lot of water and getting back on water retaining drugs etc. So they sometimes look obese/bloated with clothes on and due to bad lighting, but they don't really go on stupid bulks.

Jay is one of the greats, definitely top 5 but he beat Ronnie when his body was declining (not in his peak). He beat him the first two I think and then he lost himself to Dexter. And then he won it again which legendary in itself. Then came Phil who has had to battle with many mass monsters like kai and bug ramy being much smaller than them and destroying them. Also displayed the only physique worthy of being compared with Ronnie in his peak imo. I am a Jay fan but I have to be honest. His mindset was unmatched tho, a true champion🔥

Finally we get Mr. No range of motion + never too much time waste Jay Cutler. He has a unique training style but goes completely against training science. It’s purely genetics + consistency

Not so much here, but in other videos Jay uses a ton of momentum and shorts his reps but it works for him. I can’t argue against him.

He usualy does partial reps but in the stretch which actually works great. In fact many bodybuilders do that.

Odd, Jay has alot of Range of Motion though and we're talking about OLYMPIA size bodybuilders here and their movement is very limited since they grow so big it's like wearing 50 clothes all at the same time. Jay has top of the line genetics, he's smart aswell and took care of his body and his health right now is proof of this and his range of motion at 5'9 too like bruh im amazed he can still do good ROM with that size.

I have to say that the way Dr Mike does ad reads isn't awkward, it is very natural and does it in a way that I don't mind the ad read. Besides that his critique of Jays workout and accent is great.

To focus on internal cues in the squat I found that turning around and NOT facing a mirror worked wonders for me. My squat became so much better and I could focus more. Just a tip for you folks if you are not already doing it.

Always feel like closing my eyes on certain machines helps me focus and as Mike says make the micro corrections in your form if needed. The most notable one is leg press, close my eyes and sometimes on the first couple of reps make those tiny foot adjustments if needed and it seems to make a difference, also seems to help with concentration as focuses you on the lift rather than anything in your suroundings.

the reps rest reminded me of the 8 hour arm workout another bodybuilder was doing just to put it out there and see what you're made of not as like it's the best and it's why i'm the best. not apples to apples but still a testament to strength and resolve.

From 6:20 to 8:00 was easily the best video sponsorship ad I've ever seen. Far superior to the standard "I've been using LMNT for X amount of time now, and I feel great!" But then again, it's Mike Israetel. Superiority is the expected standard. Much love ❤
