Racing played the best rugby, but Exeter was more pragmatic and solid on the basics. Finn Russell is a fine player but his judgment and risk sometimes cost him. As for Nigel Owens, it's maybe time for him to retire. Calamity decisions all along, especially the last one. The time was not over when the ball crossed the bars.

He asked the TMO and was very clear about what he wanted. The TMO explained about the 3 seconds. I think you clutching with Nigel Owens. The Finn Russel intercept pass made a huge difference.

Breakdown was a joke all day. In no other sport does a referee have so much influence over the result and it's really becoming a problem

Why did Racing take off Le Roux and Chat, their two best Forwards and Zebo who looked dangerous all game when going into the crucial last 15-20 minutes? Finn Russel also needs to take some blame here, he gave them 7 on a plate and missed a few kicks

Was a fantastic game, both teams have their all. Cracking game for the neutrals, as a chiefs fan I was on the edge of my seat like no other time for the last 10. Gotta be said, this is a pretty poor cut of highlights, considering the drama and the tension in the last ten minutes including the yellow card, but I guess it's just highlights...

"take the clock back 5 seconds" for example 54:50 goes to 54:55 or 54:45?. If the latter, Nigel and TMO have miscommunicated, and Racing were denied a singly play score. Just asking.

The time wasn't put back on when Nigel Owens asked it to be, so it was running 5 seconds late. When it displayed 79:57, it was really 80:02. The confusion seems to be whether Owens was asking for 5 seconds to be added to the game time, or 5 seconds to the clock. It was the latter.

Weirdest final ever. Racing basically gave away 4 tries with amateurish mistakes, could've been 5 as well. And yet they could have won, as they were trailing by just a point and had the opportunity to take a penalty or a drop goal in the last minutes, but didn't. Going for the line when you're just 1 behind, and Toulon going for the posts with 7 points to make up... what the heck is going through the minds of french coaches? It was a professional vs amateur showdown.

@@Stephno86 they are. Sport is meant to entertain supporters. European rugby at the moment is only entertaining if you support one of the sides involved. By contrast you can flick on a super rugby game and find it thoroughly enjoyable without even knowing who's playing
