Exhaust silencer delete (Audi A4 turbo)

Removing the centre silencer section of the exhaust and replacing with flexible exhaust pipe.

Yeah they change the sound, but with a small section like that it's no big deal.

hey there! I drive an 1997 Audi a4 Quattro.. so I just removed both my mufflers and put straight pipes on it.. its loud as shit.. a bit too loud.. a few questions.. if i were to put back the just mid muffler how would it sound like compare to if I were to just put the rear muffler back.. and was wondering if I were to put a magna flow rear muffler on it, would it lessen the sound and give it a more aggressive deeper sound?

Rear mufflers normally take some of the rasp/rattle out of the sound. The mid muffler is probably similar, but since it's under the vehicle it acts to reduce noise inside the cabin.

v11o mmm okay makes sense! so if I put a sports exhaust would it quite the sound, give it a deeper sound, and give me back the torque and increase some HP?

Kfawal Depends do you really wanna spend the money on a sports exhaust? Few things you could do put stock mufflers back on then add a electric cut out right after the turbo and put a deep tone muffler on that so you can be loud or quiet when you want cause you can't have quiet inside and loud outside unless you add serious sound deadener. If you got a 1.8t or 2.0 I would suggest leave it alone cause your gonna get that ricer sound everyone hates unless you spend big money. Give the car some serious upgrades like a bigger turbo so it can be a sleeper.

there is this amazing invention called a sawzall? just wandering if you've heard of it? and how long that crappy flex pipe last 2 weeks before it rusted off? oh yea nice flux core welder would of been better off clamping it on then using one of them pos's

Actually it was months before I replaced the flexi with a solid pipe. No I've never heard of a sawzall. But after a search can see you are referring to a reciprocating saw. Which I do not have. Why the flux core welder? Because that's what we had.
