the nickname 'eri' or more commonly spelled 'aeri' was made up by baekhyun and the rest of the members eventually picked it up too!! He jokingly said once it was bc at award shows when they said exo-l over the screams it sounds like excel to bystanders lol. It comes from the korean pronunciation of 'EXOL-ie' Where the 'L-ie' (pronounced LE) in korean when roManised becomes 'aeri'. Sometimes you might see sehun or suho say 'aelgi' which is a play on the nickname 'aeri' and korean word for baby 'aegi' !

Thé crying wasn’t part of the musical. It was after his dating scandal with Taeyeon. A lot of "Fans" were signing petitions to remove him from exo. He received so many death threats. It was at a time where idols dating was still so taboo. Even more than now. So a large population of exo-ls were hating him because he "lied" to them. It happened in 2014 and really marked him. In knowing brothers, when he said dating is a sensitive topic. This is what he was referring to.

One of the reasons why i love Baekhyun and Exo so much they're never afraid to call out fans with bad behaviors and sasaengs. Some artists are afraid to lose fans if they talk about their fans' behaviors and it's sad.

Each EXO member also has individual fandom names as well. Xiumin/Minseok fans are called Elsas because his superpower is frost. Suho/Junmyeon fans are called Bunny Citizens because he looks like a bunny and his emoji is a bunny. Lay/Yixing fans are called Xingmis because xing from Yixing and mi is fans in Chinese. Baekhyun's fans are called erikyoong, eri from eris and I'm not sure where the kyoong came from but his KZfaq is the Kyoongtube. Chen/Jongdae fans are called Soondongie, Chanyeol fans are called Yeolmae. D.O. fans are called Dandanie because it stands for strong ones which is a reference to his superpower strength. Kai/Jongin fans are called Erigoms. And lastly Sehun fans are called Xunqi because Xun from Shixun which is his Chinese name and qi means knights.

Since we have cute names for the EXO members like Baekhyunie, Sehunnie, Chanyeollie, etc. To make names cute and show affection Koreans add "ie" to the end of the names. Then L and R sound similar in the Korean alphabet so changing the L in EXO-L to R produces a sound close to "er" or "aer" and then adding the "ie" sound at the end. So we get Eri or Aeri. Baekhyun wanted to give us a cute name and called us Eris. He calls Chinese EXO-Ls Cherries (C for Chinese and Eris)

What a perfect time to talk about EXO stealing our hearts as it's their 8th anniversary today! (04082020) I've been a kpop fan since 2007, always loved SM groups because of their vocals and because I love love love ballads. I think I got interested because of What Is Love first, and then watched Mama and then read the lyrics and then watched a parody video and just really liked everything about that debut haha. I also liked that they seemed like really nice individuals, I think that's what really made me a long-time fan too. They're very chill and humble compared to my country's celebs and I really like how mature they handled fame, always saying that being a singer is just like any other job that has its ups and downs but that receiving love is something to be thankful for. Eight years down the road and I'm still happy to be their fan, watching their content has helped me through some bad times too. :)

on the musical he was crying for real, he couldn't hide it. first exo was going through internal problems that we didnt know about (ex: members leaving, getting injured, saesangs) plus baekhyun an taeyon started dating which made fans mad and started attacking both of them, fans were canceling their tickets, insulting him in his face and probably stalking him, it was too much to take in so he finally burst in the musical. a lot of people dont mention this but those were really the worst times for baekhyun and exo, i still cant watch his musical without crying. nobody deserved the hate they got

They broke up & apologized to their fans. I was not an EXO-L during that time but....how could they force 2 people apart like that? Now with Chen, I am supporting him & his new family!
