Suho has two completely self written mini albums ♡. Self-Portrait (2020) that was inspired by Suho's visit to van Gogh's exhibitions. He said that this album is about "the idea that everyone has scars, everyone has been hurt. But even so, shouldn’t we still love?" It came out on van Gogh's birthday. The second album is Grey Suit (2022). He was inspired by the book Momo. The theme of this album is time and it was his comeback after getting back from the military. "The world is that beautiful and time moves so fast, but I’m the only one stuck in this moment. The time I’m living in now is black and white, but that world is colorful."

EXO discography and vocals are the biggest flex of EXOLs. The only 2 things that i consider SM's redeeming values are creating EXO and giving EXO a top tier discography.

What Really gets me is that the Rappers can Sing and Vocalist can Rap 😭🤌🤌❤️

Two words: ADRIAN MCKINNON. He’s written most of the EXO and Shinee songs I love. He’s American, from a musical family; his dad is a gospel singer… He brings all that flavor and talent to SM.

Suho and Xiumin are criminally underrated. And only recently has Kai been able to shine in the group as a vocalist. I never liked his rapping, he worked on his range so much and his first 2 albums are no skip masterpieces. Their album that dropped today did a great job at letting other members shine and I’m so happy. All these boys are too skilled individually to be overlooked.

Without fail every black person who hears Ya Ya Ya has to gather themselves after hearing only 1 second of the song. It really is THAT track. Yes our culture is so beautiful.

I'm pretty sure (if I recall my lore correctly...) Jekyll is actually supposed to be X-EXO singing to/about EXO, hence why it has that creepy nightmare feeling. I think you're right that it's super experimental; I love it and not just cause Kai saying "Oh my my" pays no rent to dwell in my head daily...

Dem Jointz and exo's voices together are huge blessing in the industry for me. His songs are jusd ahahjdkakfbakka i love love love omg. Anyways i get what you mean. I love rnb and never listened to kpop ever until i listened to SM groups. Esp exo and red velvet. And now i'm casual listener of nct too. Specifically dream. My favorite vocalist is Chen. His voice is unmatched and unreal. But gosh Kyungsoo would've devoured this album too. I cannot wait for a DMUMT album. Arguably their best album. Obsession is a mini, but it's my second fav

Suho has two solo albums, Chanyeol has SEVERAL collab songs and solo songs, but no album yet. He does have an album with Sehun. They are a subunit called EXO SC. the other sub unit is called EXO CBX (chen, baek, xiumin)

Obsession is my favorite album from exo, they did try to break through their boundaries with this album

Understandable tho. At first I was cultured shock at Jekyl with the chorus, but sooner the more I get into it and lsiten, the more it becomes fireeee, and now it is one my favorite song

It's okay, i've been an exol for awhile now and even i only recently like jekyll. They've performed it live on their last group concert but kai's solo performance of that song on his solo concert is what finally drove it home for me. The chorus was also my problem but idk how kai did it but his performance truly made me think "alright, i understand this song now, i like it". That's a whole 3 years😂. It might grow on you, it might not. It's just a matter of preference i guess. Also i'm a big butterfly effect stan! So happy to see you like that one a lot too. Such a beautiful song. I can't wait for you to listen to the war album! It's still my fav album of EXO till this day.

The Obsession album has been home for a while and I'm scared for 'Exist'... Obsession entire concept, song choices were grown... no child's play. The SWV sample 'YA YA YA' deserved a MV. Kai is a heavenly voice. sweet and unique.

Most of them have either solo or subunits. Please check them all out. They are so so talented. This particular album is missing Lay, D.O. and Xiumin. D.O. and Xiumin were serving in military. But Obsession rocked so hard even though my bias was missing from it

The entire album is about the members fighting the evil inside them, there is good EXO and evil EXO (X-EXO) the songs that talk about that the most are Obsession and Jekyll. Jekyll is really interesting cause we have both EXO and X-EXO in a power battle that’s why they say stuff like “break out” “why you push me away, I’m already in” like meaning I have power over you. For EXO albums the concept is really important because its not only the title track, they carry the concept throughout the entire album

Suho first solo album is one of my favorites among EXO's soloists. 😗 He did live sessions to present his album and those are a delight to the ear. His second solo album was so good too 👌🏻

Obsession was a great record! Out of all the songs, I had Groove, Trouble, Obsession and Butterfly Effect on the most! Just like you, can't explain what it is about Butterfly Effect but that's my favorite. Groove is what I call the vacation getaway song. Makes you feel like you're on some tropical island.

You have to understand this album has a concept of exo vs x-exo their alter ego

My guy you don't know about Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde? I'll be honest i didnt read the story, but when I was kid I watched an episode of Arthur dedicated to the story and they had a song about. That song was my JAM! It's about a person with two personalities that lives inside of him, kinda like the Hulk and Bruce Banner. EXO is fighting the evil inside them, so the song does not have innuendos. If you want sexy songs I'm sure EXO-L's will provide 🤣
