not sure if you noticed but baby don't cry was based off the little mermaid, they're asking her to kill them instead of letting her turn into foam. this album is probably the most fairy tale/fantasy like out of all their albums, you'll feel all the jittery fluttery feelings when you watch the live performances of these! my personal favourites are don't go and peter pan's live performances (especially the ones in tokyo dome).

The song that really driven me into EXOTICS fandom back then was Don't Go. Felt like i was told to stay and be a fan right away, it was also because i listened to it the first time while watching the Baekhyun focus fancam, i was already Baekhyun bias before become an EXO-L. Funny how i like Baekhyun because he dated Taeyeon (i was a S♥NE) while some EXO-L left him and hated him for the same reason at that moment. Glad it was all in the past. I am so glad that you are listening to both the Korean and Chinese versions. I actually got to know EXO because they release music in Chinese. I spent years actively avoiding K-pop since I was already listening to Chinese and Japanese music and didn’t want to add another language I didn’t know into the mix. Yeah. That went out the window. I decided to give EXO a chance since I saw they sang in Chinese, which of course led me to listening to the Korean versions as well. And now we’re here. 😅 I’m writing this comment as I’m watching, so if this is addressed later in the video, sorry! There are versions of Growl and Overdose that are only sang by EXO-K or EXO-M and not the full twelve members. They’re great listens.

EXO's versatility is one of the reasons why I love them so much. EXO can pull off many genres (I guess because of the many different voices they have). Something can be so different from what they've done before and it'll still sound perfect for them.

WE HAVE THE SAME FAVE SONGS LOL. Baby Don't Cry and My Lady were what got me into starting listening to EXO. Those two are amazing songs. As I listened more to them, I also fell in love with Don't Go. The other songs are cutesy and feel good songs I wasn't really into (3.6.5, Lucky, Peter Pan in particular). Another song I super appreciate is Black Pearl just for its edgy sound and crazy vocal runs lol. But I guess when it comes to EXO, even if you don't really like a song you can always enjoy it because their vocals are SOO good. Also I always thought in 2013-14 that EXO-M definitely had more swag than EXO-K, but EXO-K had like.... 2 main EXO vocalists that suit their album style at that time a lot so for first timers, many preferred EXO-K (me for instance). But Chen's voice is still everything 😭😭 Also, Tao is so good at rapping and Kris sounds so mature even then, EXO-M was so underrated among non-Chinese EXO-Ls 😞

Black Pearl is a legendary pirate ship, every pirate ship has it's own name, and mostly addressed as 'female'. I think you've heard of Black Pearl from Pirates of Carribbean, where Jack Sparrow was adamant to have the Black Pearl as his pirate ship. Also the reason why the song was epic.
