Sparked Innovations CONDUCTOR
Use Cases:
Alternator: You paid for that 320A alternator but how do you know what it's actually putting out at various RPMs? Run your alternator(s) + or - cable(s) to The Conductor first and then to your battery to find out!
Amplifier: Want to know if you're exceeding your battery's current-delivery specification? Run your amplifier(s) + or - cable(s) to The Conductor and then to your battery(ies) to make sure you have adequate current supply for your amplifier.
Wire and Fuse Sizes: Take the guesswork out of figuring the proper wire gauge and fuse rating by monitoring what your amplifier(s) is drawing constantly and at peak. Run your amplifier(s) + or - cable(s) to The Conductor and then to your battery(ies).
Lithium Batteries: We've all seen lithium battery fires caused by overheating internal cells due to over charge/discharge. How do you know if your amplifier current draw exceeds the battery's safety ratings? Put The Conductor on the + or - cable(s) between an alternator and battery bank to monitor charge rate. Put The Conductor on the + or - cable(s) between amplifiers and the battery bank to monitor discharge rate.
Test Bench: Replace your clamp meters and run all + or - cable(s) through The Conductor to measure current from your battery bank to measure the pull of each amplifier to track power consumption.

With two alternators, would you need two LCD screens to show each one? Or just allows a single LCD per conductor?

That lithium battery still going strong! Was always wishing for something like that going mainstream, along with comparing voltages from the alternator and the battery bank at the back, optimize your rig and be on the lookout for possible problems. The refresh rate could definitely be improved but for bass drags that's good enough! Happy holidays to the crew!

This is a first for me ,thank you you just made my build a million times easier to monitor , between a 10m radio , stereo, winch,lights,refrigerator etc I have a xj I've been building for the last few years for overlanding and I have been completely stumped on how to monitor high amperage short of a clamp style meter inside ,and let's be honest thats not exactly "clean or the right way" . Now I know my dual 320amp alternators are producing the correct amperage... and if not I can take the high idle circuit up a notch and fix it. One of the coolest things I've seen so far!!!!! So thank you for this brother ,and good luck with your build, can't wait to see it completed.

Damn bro that dual alternator kit looks crazy as hell?? I know from personal experience about the location and the mental frustration of replacing a stock alternator on a Nissan 5.9L. That dual alternator kit you showed looks absolutely insane! I’m happy you were able to find one though, and I can’t even imagine how expensive that was. The one for my 2010 Chevy Tahoe was $200, and that only entailed 1 bracket some new bolts and an idler pulley. Sorry for the long comment. My son and I do love all your videos man. Honestly, Bruce your an awesome person with a good heart, and you are an inspiration to a lot of people just to say the least! Oh yeah by the way watching you have a blast in your R/C truck videos was what got my son and I back into the fun world of R/C trucks again. So I do have to thank you for that as well. 😆

You should use a ferrules that are tin plated over your copper wire (or tinned copper wire) when using aluminum distribution blocks to prevent galvanic corrosion which will lead to voltage drop.

That isn't much of a concern between aluminum and copper as copper is a noble metal. Aluminum and steel would be much more of a problem.
@jerichojoe307
@jerichojoe307 Жыл бұрын
If this was a major concern and if they were not compatible; copper clad aluminum wiring would not exist 🤷 galvanic corrosion is only an issue in the presence of moisture and an electrolyte. And last I checked you're not supposed to be dipping your distribution block and wiring in saltwater lol. It will be fine. If it's really that big of a concern there is antioxidant Grease that can be used. Same stuff that electricians use in household electrical boxes with aluminum wiring.

That was a really cool demonstration! I would have guessed that the low frequencies took more power to move the coils further. That was interesting. Thanks for sharing this Exo! I aways appreciate you and your passion, that is clearly present, for car audio.

This thing is pretty awesome but I don't do competition so don't really have a need for this. You did answer a question I've always had about amperage draw with lower frequency bass and you shocked me. I had always assumed that lower the frequency the more amperage was being drawn but I guess I was wrong. Great video! If I ever decide to throw something huge in my car I will definitely buy one!

Hello brother =) I recently sent you some voice clips on your facebook page messenger. Loving this build and because I made loudspeakers when I was younger and because I now own my car after paying the 25k for it I'm having serious considerations upgrading my 4k sub system in the boot (trunk) to make it very sound deadened. Your build design has given me some great ideas and also the fibreglassing custom shapes with fabric and stuff. Love it =) Hopefully we can touch base and have a chat sometime =) Keep up the good work brother =) Much love from the UK.

I pre-ordered a Conductor from ShowTime. Can’t wait to get it. It is priced well. Really want to compare it to the Bluetooth Ammeter from Victron. Let’s see how it goes. … If anything I learned that if you like something from Sparked Electronics you need to get it before they stop producing them. … Anyone have a Ohmie that you happen to not be using?

I use to be a overkill nerd about "Just for fun" Data and used a Teensy arduno chip ( over 100Mhz clock ) And use to have it monitor voltage to graph out to a display and save to a microSD. Did similar with amp-draw except I modified a ANL fuse to be the current sense ( 200A halleffect 0-200A == 0-5V ) and because its arduino and shi sampling rate is whatever you want..can be 200/sec but thats not readable obviously! It was fun/neat building according to "What I wanted" as I wanted a high speed graph of my voltage that showed spikes and everything. But I can for sure see the benifits of these types of devices being "readily avaliable plug and play" As not many want to ( or have the time! ) to go out and buy parts, solder things together, and write code, then 3D print or machine out parts to complete the look. Lots of effort! Car audio needs are a niche market which I'd assume is why theres very few of this stuff out there, so its typically DIY or wait til a company comes around and says Hey! We made a distro block with a current meter! heh

I would love to have a backup to let me know what's really going on.. my headlights dim all the time over 1/2 volume but I have a 370 alternator and 4 -100 amp hr batteries...but I'm unsure if I'm running 14.5 or 14.9 because it reads both from time to time... and I keep loosing super tweeters ...when there under rated power level but it could be me ...unless I've got a spike in voltage or I'm not hearing the distortion..
