The bull is his livelihood! It's likely an animal he's had since it was a baby, and it's provided for him and his family. It's not just an animal, it's a source of income and even a friend or family member. I'd be heartbroken too, if my bull, that I worked so hard to keep healthy and that helped me labor every day for years, died before my eyes.

@@araitol3935 potentially because of a previous scene in which the philosopher tries to use his science to explain the flies when he obviously has no idea what he’s talking about. he ends his lecture by implying that the flies would simply die off once they ran out of dead things to feed on. he fails to foresee that a surplus of flies would lead to the plague of boils. in the same manner, the high priestess previously insisted that her prayers to the river goddess would purify the nile, which never came to pass. his execution of both advisors illustrates the inability of his wisest courtiers to explain or mitigate the plagues, as well as rameses’ own descent into tyranny.

Unlike Noah's ark which can be proven for the most part - it's too hard to prove something like that didn't in history but you can say it's very unlikely - You take what you can get with history dated that far back and as we know from even more present history, even that it even isn't reliable. So what is with that bullshit "prove it". HOW?! No rocks to carbon date, no fossils you cant make facts from history unless something you can use science with to prove. It's only calculated guesses and all guesses as of present say it didn't happen or like Gian said, over the course of years - more than likely Moses just ate some trippy shit from that bush and was chatting shit but you ask me to "prove that" also .. haha

The Israelites were enslaved to the Egyptians for 400 years and they never gave up hope that God would send someone as a messenger to end this suffering. The Egyptians saw a people that were hard working and forced them to build their cities. When i see Hollywood make movies like this they do capture the suffering and how the Egyptians treated the Hebrews they didn't give a crap about them. The prince of Egypt is a great musical of Exodus bc it shows the relationship between two brothers in the beginning being thick as theives to grown men who must do what is right for their people. I think the Egyptians had it coming honestly.

Yeah God wanted to destroy Egypt at that point but he timed it so that once they got out they would take the land God was giving them and bring Justice to the other evil nations as God said before that they would be in slavery for 400 years and the inquity of the Amorites was not yet full so once they got out 400 years later they would destroy them with Gods Holy vengeance.

23 When Moses lifted his staff toward the sky, Yahweh sent thunder and hail, and lightning struck the earth. So Yahweh made it hail on Egypt. 24 It hailed, and lightning flashed while it hailed. This was the worst storm in all the land of Egypt since it had become a nation. 25 All over Egypt the hail knocked down everything that was out in the open. It struck down people, animals, and every plant in the fields and destroyed every tree in the fields. 26 The only place it didn’t hail was the region of Goshen, where the Israelites lived. 6 The next day Yahweh did as he said. All the livestock of the Egyptians died, but none of the Israelites’ animals died. 7 Pharaoh found out that not one of the Israelites’ animals had died. Yet, Pharaoh continued to be stubborn and would not let the people go. (Exodus 9 Names of God Bible)

First of all : Ridley Scott is not a Jewish, or a Christian. Thus: He took far too many liberties in making the movie about The Exodus of the Hebrew Children out of bandage in Egypt. Before each plague: Moses went before Pharoah, and asked him to "Let my people go". Pharaoh hardened his heart each time. Then God would send another plague. Then Moses would repeat the request to "Let my people go": After which time; Pharaoh would again: Harden his heart. The final plague was that the first born son of each Egyptian household would die, unless they spread the lamb's blood in their doorways. As for the crossing of the Red Sea: PLEASE !!!!! The crossing is described vividly in the book of Exodus. And God caused a string wind to blow out the north all night. When Moses touched his staff on the waters: The Red Sea parted. "The people of Israel went over on DRY LAND", and "The water was as a WALL on their left, and in their Right ". When Pharaoh's army passed in the midst of the waters: The Sea covered them over, and None Survived". It is never mentioned anywhere that Pharoah entered the midst of the parted waters.
