that is a gorgeous looking bike

WOW, a neighbour on the street I lived on when I was about 8 years old in the early 1970s had a Trident, the one he owned had the bread bin tank. I would rush outside to watch him ride past whenever I heard him start the engine. I can still feel the heat of the engine, smell the hot oil and leaded petrol when I think back. I now ride a modern Trident 660, which as you know Fuzzy, is so much fun to ride, Wahoo.

I'm envious you got to ride that absolutely stunning motorcycle, a true superbike of it's day, but sadly not enough to save Triumph. They were built at the BSA factory at Small Heath, the last couple of hundred were Police spec for Saudi Arabia.

I've never ridden a Trident. I don't think they look as nice as the 650 twins (the tank shape is different) but I'm sure they run great. The tachometer turned about 60 degrees in it's bracket while you were riding.

I got a T160 , it's been upgraded to twin discs and a new master to suit , you must yern , for some nice twisty hill country . 🤣 those gauges just twist around in the rubber binical .

see if they will let you ride a Rocket 3 then compare them both to see what's different between them both
