Your enthusiasm for the life is energizing. Always great to see someone who really loves their life. Thanks for bringing us along. Off in 2 weeks with our camper to explore Utah. Life the camper experience and fortunate to have a partner who is up for the outdoor adventure. 73 here and never too late to keep on with the adventure.

Your camper is a palace compared to the city folk forced to live in their cars/mini vans and hold down the 9-2-5 job. You’re doing it right, saving and still living a healthy life. Positive vibes rule ! 👍👍

Thanks dude! I don’t think I could ever go to a van now after living like this! The bathroom and full kitchen and dinette make it very easy to live in here

Hi Kevin, I 💕 love your video's, I can see where you are coming from because as you know I live on a narrowboat and I have had people say " oh god do you live on that " excuse me that's my home. I to am looking a camper vans, only if it an automatic really because of my legs. I can't wait to get a camper van. ❤

Yeah I went remote with my work in 2020 and haven’t looked back. It is awesome and will never go back to in-person work.

Nice vid. There used to be a stigma about "living in a van down by the river", as someone who was poor or couldn't afford a home. That's certainly changed the last number of years with 250k vans and 100k truck campers People are realizing, such as yourself, how much better life can be with the freedom you now have. As you get older, you'll have to try and find a remote job and move (or not) as much as you want. As for spending more money than expected, instead of doing house chores or mowing living that lifestyle encourages you to go more places, do and see more stuff. Cheers.

Kevin - I had a 34’ foot Class C and then a 42.5 foot 5th wheel toy-hauler (I’ll never get a 5th wheel that size again - what a pain in the butt when travelling). Now I’m tied down to a house and a mortgage (seems the home maintenance never ends). The truck camper life looks pretty good, and I appreciate you sharing your experiences and your real-world insights about the lifestyle. Keep it up and I look forward to your future trips.

Hey Kevin, been watching the “Binge it all” playlist. I’ve heard you mention your job in several videos but not what kind of work it is that you do? Is it location specific? The is for all the information it’s very inspiring.

So I was living in a small north western Alberta town, I was an equipment operator for a municipality. It actually worked really well working full time and living in a truck camper! I left the job now and I do explain it in a later video.

Great video. How do you think being a KZfaq creator has affected your van life? Did having so many “adventure” channels create more reasons to the public besides being homeless? I’ve seen other channels talk about a few nomads falling into loneliness and depression. I don’t believe digital contact can replace real contact with other human beings but KZfaq seems to keep you all busy and connected!

great question! Ive wanted to start a channel again for years, I did have another channel before doing atv riding but as I got older and had less friends to go with and I lost interest in riding atvs and got more into snowboarding and mountain biking. I think there's more people doing this lifestyle with out a channel honestly and this lifestyle can be isolating if you let it, as for me ad the channel I have regular viewers that comment on my videos and I always look forward to hearing from them! ive also met people in person who watch the channel and that's great too! having a full time job in one location I do have friends I see, who I hit the road I don't know how I will feel or how im going to deal with interaction, I guess ill have to be more extroverted and pursue meeting people, which I do challenge myself to do!

@@KevinWaldsAdventures that’s interesting about the ATV riding. Maybe that’s the difference too- how active many of you on KZfaq are. Snowboarding, scuba diving, mountain biking, hiking and camping you guys can do it. I don’t think you’re all extroverts but definitely active.

Funny how you thought u might be looked at negatively, when in fact it is envy galore! 😂 Now um elaborate on this guy...you're in -20, you're parked out in the middle of no-where, n a guy comes from? knocks on your door at 7am?? 😳 Sounds super odd! If u were a female would u have answered? 🍻
@KevinWaldsAdventures
@KevinWaldsAdventures 4 ай бұрын
scarier situation for a female I think, In one can if he was knocking to see if anyone was inside and I didn't answer... would have he tried to break in? I think if I was a female I would have prob answered after texting someone and I would have definitely concealed an item incase the situation escalates. I do believe the guy was prob just trying to steal some stuff but me being inside just deterred him.
