As a Brazilian I always try to compare Cape Town with Rio de Janeiro, but I gotta be honest: RIO CANNOT OLD CAPE TOWN`S CANDLE! Totally hands down. It`s just insanely breathtaking and the architecture, MY WORD! Congrats South Africa for such beautiful, well kept city.

I studied at UCT and lived in Cape Town for 5 years and this is the best video I have seen about CT! I have now lived in Europe, and North America but Cape Town remains my favourite city in the world and South Africa has the most beautiful people and culture!

I spent 3 weeks here last month. This is the most beautiful place that I've ever visited. Walking along sea point watching the waves crash against the pier, having a beer at the V&A Waterfront, hiking Table Mountain, watching the sunset at Lions Head, breathing in the fresh Atlantic air at Cape Point... I found it very difficult to leave this place. I was tempted to cancel the rest of my travels and just stay here. Not once did I feel unsafe. In fact, I found the people to be incredibly friendly. A smile goes a long way. I will 100% be back to this beautiful city again.

After seeing this video, I decided to spend my vacation in February in Cape Town. I have been to over 30 countries, but Cape Town is by far the one, which catched me the most. Hopefully to be back next year. Stay healthy everyone. Much love from Germany :)

Welcome back to our viewers and subscribers! We’re kicking off 2017 with Cape Town. While our vacation travel guides are all labors of love, this production is particularly close to our hearts. We sent one of our star cameramen back to his old hometown for this shoot, and when we received the footage we were blown away. Not only are the shots spectacular, he returned with three times as much footage as usual! Despite out best efforts to cull shots and limit the video to the usual eight to ten-minute run time, our writer, composer and editor were so seduced by both the colors and stories of Cape Town, they decided to let this one run out to almost twenty minutes. So here it is, our longest video ever. We hope you’ll be as inspired by the richness and rhythms of Cape Town as we were. Enjoy! I am sooooo proud of myself because I’ve been to Capetown last Nov 2019 before the crazy Pandemic took our liberty to explore the beauty of this world . Thank you so much, Expedia. I have been across 5 continents and visited some of the worlds most renowned cities, but none has touched me like Cape Town. My girlfriend and I spent a week there this past summer and we were blown away. Thank you for spending so much time on this video and really focusing on all the great things Cape Town has to offer. First visited Cape Town by train from Salisbury, Rhodesia in 1975 - the minute I saw that mountain, I wanted to live there. It took me until 1995 to finally make the move. Left in 2003 and still miss this gorgeous city.

Probably, the most beautiful city on earth. Cape Town is the place to be, a cosmopolitan city that is made with all vibes. A real representation of the new world where everyone fits in. Doing my undergraduate in that beautiful city was just amazing..... Slow down this is Cape Town...

Table bay , Cape Town ... My favourite spot in all the world . Did you know ... CapeTown was voted best city int he world. And Truth coffee shop the one featured was voted the best coffee shop in the world

Moe Haffo The people who said it was the best city in the world clearly don't know where their own arse is. It has one of the lowest life expectancies in the world and it has one of the worst crime rates in the world. May be the most breathtaking in the world thanks to the table mountains, but trust me, it's not the best city in the world.

My brother live in Cape Town for around 10 years, from 2005 to 2015 but was very young back then. Now he's back for good, so one of my regret is not travelling there while my brother still work there. Now Cape Town is one on my checklist, will hope one day to actually travel there.

I live in Honolulu and my neighborhood is very close to Diamond head. Cape Town kind of reminds me of Honolulu especially the Diamond head area.

Wow this video hit me right in the heart. Been to a few places around the world, but nowhere will ever compare to Cape Town.I was mainly reared in Natal, Ixopo. But realise this place is beautiful. I now live in Australia see how beautiful it is.

There are excellent universities there as well. So much to see and do as the video shows. Then there is the rest of the country, game parks, national and provincial parks. This city and country is so interesting, once it is safe to travel again. The weather is very pleasant. Their tourism industry is well developed with diverse accommodations. The food and beverage scene is amazing. There are many excellent cultural attractions, parks and beaches.

Watching this made me homesick even though I've not been to all the places shown. It's been a long time since I've been back home. I just loved the narrator's voice. Surprised the garden route and the Karoo didn't make it in. Or the west coast national park. Or cape point ! Hermanus maybe? Honestly I'm not surprised the video ran for 20 mins - could easily run for 20 more!
