Feels like truth, integrity and decency have been proscribed by the current regime. Denying natural justice to those accused with a so-called human rights lawyer at the helm (including right to face accuser(s), clear evidence of alleged offence, timely due process etc and right of appeal) brings the U.K. legal profession into disrepute.

What a refreshing interview with such enlightened intelligent people. The Labour Party should be about inclusivity which enshrines freedom of speech and expression, the basis of any free democratic society. Instead it would appear to be moving toward a communist party of the Cold War era led by bullies. Here’s to freedom of speech and expression and truth and justice

Hopefully the finding in Prof David Miller's case that anti-Zionism is a protected status will help. A fascinating discussion, thank you. As a non-Jewish Labour member brought up never to criticise Israel and to abhor antisemitism, going through the accusation mill has been painful but educative. I've emerged with a more sophisticated understanding of settler-colonialism in general and Israel/Palestine in particular. I stand with the Palestinians, I criticise the state of Israel. Being in Labour during the Corbyn years was also to witness the paroxysm of rage at his election becoming entrenched and structural, until now it seems to be almost a founding reason for the existence of the party, at least at the top. You all discussed aspects of this eloquently, but it is difficult to capture the obscene absurdities, brutality and toxicity such a mal-functioning organisation exhibits. Jenny mentioned that not all in the press are unaware of this, but will anyone in the mainstream report on what they themselves were a part of? And has Labour sown the seeds of its own collapse, or will it be just fine without all our votes?

I have seen more criticism towards Belgium, the Netherlands, Britain, Spain, Canada and the USA over their colonial sins than against Israel, on the internet. Most of the recent criticism against Israel has come since they started their Genocidal attacks in Gaza. Few, if any, in Israel are Semites. They are of khazar ashkenazi stock, from Eastern Europe, converts to judaism, in the 9th century, given a choice, following defeat in battle, of taking up one of the three Abrahamic religions or being put to death. They opted for Judaism. Testing, by a team of geneticists, several years ago, confirmed this. Testing was also conducted on their Palestinian neighbours, who were found to be descendants of Canannites(?) The western world biggest problem is that they tend to condemn something awful as if they have learnt from it not to repeat it ever again then after a certain time they go back to what they blamed and support it. That's racism, fascism, genocide etc. This is a clear evidence that they do not have a divine guidance to follow to tell them what is right and what wrong. I have been a member of the Labour party since I was old enough and active with in the Labour party since I could walk. I always felt the Labour party stood up for the vulnerable in society. I don't feel that anymore. I cant sit by watching whats going on in Palestine. I honestly don't know how anyone can think whats going on there is ok. As a mother I just can't closs my eyes to the loss of all the children. I feel so lost for what to do.

It isn't illegal anywhere, much less in a political party, as we witnessed in a recent legal case, so I cannot see how the party could enforce the policy. Antisemitism is, quite rightly, illegal, however, judaism is a religion, whereas zionism is a racist political ideology and legally open to criticism. Besides, DNA testing, conducted several years ago, by Jewish geneticists, conclusively proved few in Israel are Semites, originating from khazar ashkenazi stock, in Eastern Europe, whereas their Palestinian neighbours are of Canaanite (?) ancestry. The professor and his team were vilefied, while the knesset banned DNA testing outright!

Well I'm anti Zionist and I am a member of the Labour party so God only help me if Keir Starmer finds out. The thing is anti Zionism is not antisemitism. I stand with the Palestinian people. The IHRA conflation of anti-Zionism with anti-semitism is part of the issue here. The taboo around criticism of the ideology of Zionism is completely irrational. Judaism and Zionism are completely different things. Equality and freedom of speech are vital cornerstones of just societies. I wholeheartedly support JVL.

The definition of "Anti-Zionism" begs the question of what Zionism is and does now. What movers and shakers in Israeli government and financial groups do with the term Zionism also is a politicised rather than well defined process and desired outcome. Shouldn't anyone in the U K be able to question the actions of the present Israeli government without snowflakes who cannot keep defining as victims of the 1940's? We should all speak out against atrocities committed in the present since 1947 without using charged words which cannot be adequately defined. Grow up folks!!!

Its ALSO affected many university students in USA who have no ussues with jewish people but want an END to the GENOCIDE in GAZA and the constant persecution in the West Bank by Isreali soldiers. Thise students are also being labeled antinsemetic when they are NOT & just want an end to the slaughtering of men wimen children and elderly in Gaza and want an end to the perscutiin to all Palestine people in Gaza and the West Bank.
