Our proud guards should not be subjected to this while on duty.. If the public can't show respect they need to be kept well away.

Everyday these working soldiers face disrespect and humiliation from the public for doing their job, it needs to stop. This kind of behaviour doesn't happen at Buckingham Palace. Close this whole area to the public!

Is it me, or do others feel that there should be more restrictions on the crowds around the Horse Guards? I don't think people realise that these are soldiers who fight for their country, who protect their royalty, who can fire a gun if necessary!!

The immaturity, pure stupidity and lack of any respect from people is disgusting.

These loathsome tourists are really mocking our country. I pity the soldiers who have to put up with their increasingly bad behaviour.

I couldn’t be a guard or policeman here because I would get sacked after a day like this and there would be a few smashed mobile phones littering the place. And that youth that said “relax” would be enjoying a trip to one of our hospitals. What the hell is wrong with people? Is it impossible for people to just witness and enjoy an event which they can have as a nice memory. The sight of all the mobile phones makes my blood boil.

I am disgusted with the lack of respect these people give our military. Can you imagine doing this in any other country without severe repercussions.

I don t think anyone should be able to touch or come near the horses. For one thing I don't believe they are trained to endure people's constant touching poking and crowding them. Being bitten is no joke. They can shred a shoulder or remove a chunk of flesh quite easily. Being kicked is life altering been there done that soft arena saved me but never got on a horse again. I would thank the guards maybe it's not done but they deserve respect.

Everybody needs to show respect for the guards and their horse that are in full uniform and heavy equipment on the horses in the heat and weather. Stop being so inconsiderate and give them the decency and respect. It’s not a game to amuse all the tourists.

I'm proud to say my Sons are both soldiers. Neither is a guardsman, but the respect they have for these guardsmen is immense. These men stand to attention for 8 hours straight. In full regalia. That's impressive, and takes an inordinate amount of self discipline to conduct appropriately, and these fine guardsmen deserve the utmost respect.

Imagine having so much disrespect for attention, I wish I was there to tell them to piss off.

I'm glad to see the security made that crowd of men leave, they were laughing & being disrespectful, becoming giddy and egging each other on, too many in number, loud and looking to make themselves some fun out of the royal guard and horse. I like that the horse knocked one of them out of the way and the security guy had the courage and authority to make them all leave despite the whining of the guy with the camera, lying, and pretending they were not disrespectful.
