Also Milk (the Drunk Fisherman) asked for his advice, but also asked that it was like a Yaggababble phrase. Patters went with (my phrase from chat) which is "All these Village Idiots are Weird" (There were 3 idiots and a philo idiot I think)

I recall a game in which I was a Minion, I forget which, and we had a Yaggababble, Goblin and Mezepheles. The Fisherman immediately turned themself Evil without anyone needing to do anything, meanwhile the Goblin was doing a good job of convincing the town that they were the Yaggababble. I think it was Day 2 that I pushed them up, and the actual Yaggababble has claimed Preacher that'd chosen our aforementioned Goblin. We won that game by a landslide.

I see the derivation of the name "Yaggababble" as a combination of "Baba Yaga", which is a type of demon in some Slavic folklore along with "babble," which is associated with babies communicating by noise (or "baby speak.") Either way, this Demon is great! Looking forward to some fun games with this one!

As a Russian, I don't think Баба Яга(Baba Yaga) is a demon. She is an old witch and she lives in a wooden hut with chicken's legs. She is usually a neutral character(she is kind to people, who are kind to her), while a demon is almost always evil.

This is a really good character for the viewers. We’re all in on the secret and it adds another level of drama when the demon gets it out.

Couldn't you have given Iris a 1 without killing the Tinker? Yagga kill is whenever until dawn, so in theory you *could* give empath number then do the kill. Not sure it's a good idea, but a possibility at least.

That may not be correct. The scarlet woman comes at a specific time in night order. So if you are strict about that, and want them to have the phrase for next day, the kill has to go off before the scarlet woman, which is before the empath.

It has a spot in the night order, it's better to keep to that for consistency's sake.

It's actually that and another thing too. Babble is a slang for talking but Patters on stream (yesterday?) said it was a Jamaican word for cheerful noises. (Or something like that)

1:12:30 Interestingly enough, I don't think George needs to die for the empath to get a 1 since "If the Yaggababble says this phrase, the Storyteller may kill a player any time afterwards, *until dawn* ." So surely Patters could kill JC after the empath receives their 1, or even give the empath a 2?

is there anything stopping the yagga from saying the phrase a bunch after they are safe for the day due to a failed nom? that way even if someone does start to feel suspicious about it, you can't be executed that day. i guess as a storyteller you'd kill down to final 3 and give town a chance to punish the suspicious one

For the Empath in N3, since both tinker and yaga kills happen whenever you want, you could technically have given the empath a 0, a 1, or a 2 depending on when you did the deaths. Which basically means you have a sober empath getting the same information as a drunk. (Yeah I'm aware you should probably not do that as an ST, but still fun)

There's a typo in the title, which made me think that as well. But its actually Yagga. A Baba Yaga type demon would be dope tho (I'd prefer demon over minion since there's already a generic witch as a minion).

I am by no means an official source, but I've heard that the group over at NRB are doing more Clocktower stuff over there, including I think filming some live games - he might just be busy with that! But that's only speculation on my part.

I havent watched the whole video so it might have been covered, but would the Yaga not kill if it is executed before it's ability goes off? I am guessing no because it isn't poisoned so it still has an ability Edit: Nevermind its a demon/ ITS A DEMON?

How would Yagga interact with Recluse since they can register as Demon? Or does it not matter because the Yaggababble role specifies "you" and not Demon?

The Recluse can register as a Demon, but they don't actually have the ability of a Demon. So the Recluse cannot cause death via a Demon's ability. - Ben

It was brought up by the players as well, but my first instinct here was that as a Gossip, I would never gossip in a Yagababble game. If I gossip correctly then a good person dies and I make it harder to find the demon. Why on earth would I do that? I like that Patters chose to kill the drunk Village Idiot as that was the most helpful for town, but that's not something I would bet on. So I would have no power in a game like this which isn't fun. I would avoid making scripts with both of those, even if it's easy to find catchphrases for a Gossip bluff.
