Some people love Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken! for the stunning visuals, insight into the animation industry, and superb voice work. Others want Kanamori to bully them. #eizouken! #keepyourhandsoffeizouken! #review #analysis

To be honest, the character design is, as you say the most powerful part of Eizouken, however, what disapoints me a little is how so few people pont the "side-lore" of the series. It's not in just a story about what happens in a japanese higschool, it's a story of a future Japan that was hit by "something" and made everything be built or improvised in a complex and absurd matter (thing that Azakusa points out in the very first chapter), things that make everyone ask why the teachers' room is in the school's pool or why the river is a drown highway. I really think that other part that helps a lot to build the liking to the series is that the characters are living in a world that is full of things that have just happened, however; it's also a world where everything has been going like it is from a while to the point that everything is really normal for everyone in Eizouken's world.

I definitely noticed that the series was placed in the near-but-not-too-far future as a result of some minor apocalypse. No way a 2020 society would have done something artistically crazy as having the teacher's office in the school pool. Still bomb asf.

Yup, most people tend to focus on the main trio of Eizouken a lot that they either forget or not notice much that the setting of the series is really neat too.

When the bathhouse episode came I was "oh... oh no" and then it came and went and the girls were just girls. No horny shots or poses. I loved it.

Yeah. I was like "Alright, *Palm falls on my knee* Lets get to it, wait, no sexual or suggestive innuendos? Is this an anime or not?"

Nice video dude. I like Eizouken as well, not just the character designs, but also the passion and process of animation the show represented. I always thought Midori Asskusa was more like a kappa, but I can see her as a chipmunk.

Midori is more like a tanuki.

I saw her more like a kappa too. Even before the UFO War episodes mentioned it.

It was great hearing you talk about the designs like this. Eizoken is easily one of the most interesting (appearance-wise anyway) anime I've seen in years, and I'm overjoyed that people have taken to it like they have 😊

the character design is amazing in my opinion. I related a lot to azakusa because I am a literal animation/anime fan and I will and I SERIOUSLY will talk a whole speech about how amazing animation is, even in anime. when I saw eizouken I freaking fell in love with it. everytime they talk about animation or when a cool animation scene pops out I always get excited and pumped up (for some reason lol). it makes me happy that an anime like this exists and encourages me to continue drawing :D

This show definitely showed that you can have best girls that are more than just sexy models. You definitely can’t say no to the *TOLL GIRL!!!* (don’t worry I eventually learned her name is Kanamori, I tend to suck with foreign names). Although I’m honestly a bit more of a Kappa Weeb (Asakusa) person myself. Nicely done video describing what makes people love those 3 overall.

It's awesome that you're covering this anime series and I agree it does look like the anime version of Ed, Edd n Eddy. You're one of the few people besides Glass Reflection that talks about this anime series and hope you get to cover more anime series on this channel cause I'm really digging your content.

Damn she does sound like Rica now that you mention it, but I was thinking she sounded more like Mayumi Tanaka after saying "Nakama".

1:38 Couldn’t find any examples online at the time? I saw a video from a KZfaqr called “WatTheWut” that talked about something similar to that called “The REAL Meaning of Eizouken”. Does that count?

I never understood the comparison, other than the “similar heights”, thing. Ezoukien is a show about worldbuilding and animation. Ed, Edd and Eddy, is a show about a group of scammers. It’s apples to oranges.

I think it’s mostly due to Kanamori. Her love for money and occasional shady looking tactics she does to keep the club up & running. Resulting in her being compared to one of the Ed’s. That & there’s the occasional rough character outlines.
