Nida, Lithuania - Exploring the Curonian Spit sand dunes and beach to the Russian border!

Follow me as I explore the colorful village of Nida, Lithuania and above all the majestic sand dunes of the Curonian Spit.
The itinerary I am following is a loop starting and ending in Nida, first going up the dune to the top and the viewpoint. Then, I follow the road to the campground and the immense beach on the Baltic sea.
After walking to the border with Kaliningrad (Russia), I walk back to the sand dunes to explore them more extensively, until reaching the Curoninan Lagoon again. Finally, I just need to follow this shore all the way back to Nida.
It's a nice walk that will show you most landscapes of the Curoninan Spit, easy to do in a day.
I recommend walking up the dune to the view point in the morning, as the light is the most beautiful at this time - The sun is shining on the waters of the Curoninan Lagoon.

Hi! Thanks for your comment, there is no visible border security, only the stop signs. But in the distance you can see a Russian watchtower :)

I visited it in August 2016. The nature is wild but it is easy to visit, many people go there to explore the sand dunes
