Having ramen or udon on a hot day is perfectly fine by me! I did just that a few weeks ago, and the udon I had was so good! I love all the food options which Jordaan has to offer. The tacos looked delicious! Awesome video!

That jewelry store and I were totally vibing. It's kind of an issue when you want everything but your wallet doesn't agree 😂 Also, those noods were insanely good and I would happily eat those hot noodles on a hot day again! Talk about comfort food 🤤

Hi Jessica - thanks for posting this; it is one of the best videos about Amsterdam on here. It captures the scenery and atmosphere really well and the food looks wonderful. Not too much music either, which can detract from what the presenters are saying. It might sound a daft question but was this one done pre-Covid? The streets and places seem to be pretty buzzing!

Thanks for that! We love showing our city! That's not a daft question at all. This was not done pre-covid. It was filmed July 18-19, 2020. Amsterdam started getting busy again in June, then more so in July.

Great video I love the Jordaan area. I was there in the Netherlands for 3months and unfortunately, because of the virus I only got a chance to visit Amsterdam once on this visit and I spent most of my time in Rotterdam.

A Wanderlust For Life I tried to get an extension but they wouldn’t have it. I talk to them multiple times and told them I did not want to go back to the US because of the high amount of cases of the virus but they sent me back anyway.

Chocolatl was one of my favorite experiences! The owner made my wife and I a hot chocolate with real chocolate not powder! He was amazing and was just the best!

You can find pretty much everything here! Its kinda awesome 😆 We have a few Mexican restaurants and I've probably been to half. This was, by far, the best I've had!

There is more than Amsterdam. Friesland for example, the 2nd language of the Netherlands. Nice old cities and towns. Limburg, where you have more Belgian feeling, such as Maastricht.

Jordaan is known for the fact that it used to be a poor, working-class neighbourhood. The Dutch folk music coming from the Jordaan and the unique atmosphere of the working class "brown" cafés are a cultural impact it had on the Netherlands is pretty huge. Disappointed you didn't touch on any of that in this video.

A bit disappointing that you did not try the local foods 🙄 , herring , broodje Halfom/liver-beef sandwich, kroketten, bitterballen, and osseworst from the king of butchers where they all stand in line for = van der linde. A jenever local spirit at the distillery “ de ooievaar.

This is an English channel, so I'll reply in English. While Amsterdam may not be traditionally Dutch as much of the rest of the country, it's still an amazing place for people to visit. However, Amsterdam has kept its identity of being welcoming to foreigners (to a certain degree) and pretty multi-cultural for a long time. However, I do understand what you are saying for native Dutch speakers, it's getting harder to go to a restaurant or shop and speak your own language. But there's a lot more to it than "English people don't want to learn Dutch".
