Deep in the serene French countryside, we stumbled upon an abandoned farmhouse frozen in time. This rustic relic had sheltered the farmer's family for generations, its roots stretching back to the 18th century. The final resident of this timeworn abode had been Mr. Alain.
In 2012, Mr. Alain's passing marked the end of an era, and the family lineage ceased to care for the property. Mother Nature, with her unyielding persistence, began her relentless reclamation. Over the years, vines crept up the walls, and the structure slowly crumbled.
Today, we embark on a journey to explore this captivating time-capsule, revealing the poignant remnants of lives long past. Dust-covered relics bear witness to bygone days, and weathered floorboards whisper the stories of footsteps once echoing through its halls. In this enchanting tableau, we uncover the echoes of history, paying homage to Mr. Alain and the generations before him.

I think we have to remember that back in the day, multiple generations lived in the same house. As family died, usually the rooms would be closed off and after a while, maybe they would be reused, but oftentimes not.

So much is left behind. All the dishes, clothes, beautiful furniture Makes me wonder why. Even 2 out of 3 beds were still made. That's for showing this home. I also wonder like you what it must of looked like. Beautiful.... we can only imagine....

Perfect urbex explore.the antiques!. That magnificent buffet with china. The stereoscope picture viewer is unique. Kinda new I think 1930. It is the first devise to make things 3d. Geographers use them still. But that's for entertaining. Thank for the tour 🐟

The open air attic is probably the main reason why this place is decaying and falling apart. The roof just collapsed. What an amazing place. Thanks for taking us along on this explore, so sad sad sad that so many personal and legal documents get left behind when one passes on. The donkeys were pretty and cute , good thing they didnt sound the alarm 😉😊 about an intruder. 😊. Take care Maureno. ❤ from Texas.

Another great tour. I hope one day my home will be brought back to life after I'm gone. One thing I want to warn you about and you may already know, beware the old wallpaper in many homes. It was made with arsenic,! Love your videos, keep it up and God bless you for being so respectful!

Hey dear Maureno, I really loved walking in mind at your side through the rooms of this abandoned old farmhouse in France. Despite of the evident traces of rather heavy decay there were some very nice timecapsule like rooms visible. Beautifully carved furniture and a lot of smaller antique items caught my eyes. The picture on the wall in one of the bedrooms is actually a reproduction of a painting from the very famous French artist with the name Jean Francois Millet (4.10.1814 - 20.1.1875) and shows this evening scene of a farmer and his wife in deep contemplation after a long day of hard work. The painting has the name "Angelus", the evening prayer. I loved watching this explore video, dear bro. - Stay safe and take care. - Peace and sunny greetings from Switzerland.

Hello hello! 🤴❤ Happy to explore with you another french home! It's been a lonnnng time, i miss them! 😍 But this one is crazy find. It is in a really bad state, all that mess and decay, but it is really a gem for urbexers, because it shows the true meaning of decay in abandoned and forgotten places! Makes me happy to watch such explores, sad at the same time to see it collapsing and day by day getting near to its end, and still holding all the memories of its past owners 💔 Sad but makes my heart warm at the same time, these are the European especially french homes! They give you this cozy and warm feeling while exploring them and imagining how they used to live there back in the days and to feel a little bit and get to know their history. A lot of interesting things are left there, the memories, amazing antiques, vintage stuff and lovely wood furniture! And from the outside, so cute also! A pretty house serrounded by an amazing green garden with the adorable mini lake and lemon tree ❤ Overall, it's such an amazing video! Thanks for sharing this with us! See u next time, bye ❤😍🤗

What a beautiful home this was once. I think something fell on the roofs of the house and other building. If you notice in the drone video the roofs are completely collapsed in the same direction. Thank you for sharing the treasure. I know it’s very dangerous for you here. I appreciate your exploration.

I think that item was a stereoscopic. People used to look through the scope at 2 different images and it would create a 3 dimensional effect.

Muchas gracias Maureno, excelente video y muy buena la exploración en esta casa que está siendo tomada por la naturaleza y a punto de colapsar, al menos quedará este video para la posteridad. La decadencia es tal que en la primera planta donde está la cocina cuesta imaginar cómo era en sus mejores tiempos, hay demasiado desorden, pero fue extraño ver esa lavadora moderna e intacta y la congeladora entre tantos objetos antiguos como la cocina 🤔 El comedor y sus muebles es de lo mejor, la vajilla de porcelana muy fina y hermosa. Me sorprendió que en una casa tuvieran dos pianos, eso habla de que sus dueños tuvieron una excelente situación económica. El coche de bebé, la silla de comer y la bicicleta pequeña, son muy antiguas y están ahí congeladas como en los años 40. Ame las fotografías antiguas de bodas, los novios con la familia y la de los niños con una religiosa, seguramente un curso de un colegio católico. 😍 Muchas gracias Explomo, muy bien Maureno de que no te arriesgues en las zonas más dañadas. Very cool video, Maureno! I believe the box at 44:48 is actually a ‘tea caddy’ and the black lacquer box still contained its two pewter tea canisters. That had a lock because tea was a very expensive back when that box was made. I enjoyed this video very much. Such a wonderful old house. Thank you for documenting this place.

I could have cried in that dining room. Those large cabinets were 1670 to 1740 (ish) Oh to see them preserved but it looks like the wood worms have had them too long.

These places makes me really sad😥...I would rather see anyone who would remove the items have them cleaned repaired if needed and donate to local museum. If nothing local there are other places that would love to display these items. It's better than letting it rot. To me that's more of a Sin to let it go. I would love & cherish so many things I see in these homes. I'm 63 and some things bring such memories..love from the US 💕🌸

Thank you for another exciting dangerous explore. If you were my grown son, I would be quite worried every time you set off to go into one of these dangerously rotten places!! It is obvious to me (I'm 75 years old) that the last owner did not have the money to keep his family home up or do much repairs. He probably raised his family in it, in the condition it was in when his parents passed away. He may not have had the money to keep it up. So, when the last generation of children inherited this property, it was too far gone to save; or, they had even less money than their parents, and could not afford to pour the massive amounts of money it would take to make it livable and comfortable by modern standards -- especially if there was a lot of asbestos that modern laws require be removed in a very special, expensive procedure. It is sad, but if this family was there in the 1700's (18th Century), then the estate had a very good run. Things are not meant to last forever unless each generation has the money to keep up repairs.

In our country You can’t just walk into a house abandoned on the property someone owns it….the owners can charge you for trespassing Breaking and entering ….your lucky you can go on to these properties in your country enjoyed looking through these home 🏡✨🌟💖👍

The wonderful bedroom with the wedding photo at 49:35 is his parents and their room. The room before with the child's high chair was Allain's childhood bedroom. I see no evidence of a comitted relationship for Allain. My theory as I watch this is that home started as a proper farm. Between Napoleanic wars and WW1, their wealth, family was decimated to substistance farming, which may have also been flattened by WW2. I feel like Allain's father passed relatively young between the 1940's and 50's. There are no memento's of military service for either his father or him. His parents were relatively religious, his mother more so. Something or circumstances caused trauma to Allain. He had basic education only. Most books probably belonged to his parents.I feel like he was quite alcoholic as he aged as a way to treat a deep set depression. I think he lived with his mother. First she took care of him while he did his fathers work, except wine making, he focused on his animals most. Then he had to take care of her. I think she died in the mid 1960's of old age. His health was also poor. All the shoes show severe dependant edema. He was probably born in the late 1920's, very early 1930's so if he died in 2012, he reached an old age. The house however shows neglect from much earlier on, perhaps just after his mother died, he stopped caring. He was not a happy, healthy man, not interested in his "best life" and probably extremely poor for the last 20 years of his life. I just feel the unhappiness except his tributes to his mother, which are her bedroom and the dining room

The reason cutlery for the dining tables were originally made of pure silver, or silver plate, because back before the invention of antibiotics, silver was used as an antibiotic and people got a goodly dose of it using it to eat food with forks, spoons, and knives made of silver. Silver Nitrate is still used to this day in hospitals to put in newborn babies eyes since it "kills" syphilis. It was mandatory treatment for my son in the US in 1979 when he was born.

You did not find any modern plumbing and no bathroom, unless the only bathroom and toilet in the entire place was off the kitchen that the ceiling had caved in on.

You put the glass slide in and you view through what looks like binoculars in the olden days my mum and dad had one it was blue and plastic and the pictures we're single slides for viewing they were surrounded by cardboard 19 70s I was a child looking at my mum and dad getting married and my grandad and Grandma X2 set's 😊

I think the gadget with a viewer and glass slides, is a stereo optic viewer. Very old. The images were said to appear 3 dimensional.

Schade, dass an dem alten Bauernhof der Zahn der Zeit gewaltig nagt. War bestimmt früher ein schönes altes Anwesen. Da gibt's einen französischen Maler, der genau solche Höfe seinerzeit gemalt hat. Leider wird das Gebäude bald völlig einstürzen. Wenn nicht vorher die Abrissbirne den Rest erledigt. Es scheinen Weinbauern gewesen zu sein. Der Keller sieht aus als wäre er mal mit Wasser voll gelaufen.
