This made my day. I get what Joel is saying. I feel the same way. There is absolutely nothing better than a brook trout stream, the colors, the beauty and of course the trout. I could care less about size or the amount of fish i do catch. Its the experience. It's what I live for.

This video is what fishing really is. Sometimes it came be tuff, here in NC it's super tuff. That's why I do it tho. I don't want fly fishing to be easy all the time. I like to solve the puzzle, to fool a wild trout into taking my fly. Some youtube channels put out fake videos, they will fish for 2 weeks and make it look like it all happened in one day. I think that's why you guys are my favorite youtube channel it's real what you catch. And the filming and editing is second to none. My one grip is you don't make enough videos! Lol You guys friendship is something else, trust me a fishing buddy is hard to come by.Thanks again for another awesome video. Nate

I absolutely love the Quehanna Wild Area. My family has had a camp up there for decades and it truly is a magical place. Unfortunately, I think a lot of the small streams have been taking a beating from the continuous low water hot summers followed by low snowfall winters. I've really been seeing numbers and size of native brookies decrease up there and its a shame. Hopefully we have a cool wet summer to help them out this year, but it's not likely

When I was a kid I thought fishing was for the old men who were generally boring or unassuming. As I grew older I realized that fishing is for the stoic, patient, and passionate people on this earth. As I’ve grown older still, I’ve found those traits within myself and in others that truly understand what fishing is about and I couldn’t be more thankful for the friends I’ve made along the way. Listening to your conversations reminds me so much of them; one minute we’re arguing knots and the next we compare mental notes on salt or paprika in exactly what it does to a certain dish cooked different ways. I love what fishing has given me, and the only thing I’d wish differently is that I would’ve started sooner.

I was born and raised about 6 miles from Quehanna Wild Area on the medix run side. When i was young the road was gated and you could not go out there. I worked out there for 10 years for Piper Aircraft. Loved it, nice ride out and back. Every year someone gets lost out there.

Absolutely love that area as well. It's always been my go-to for the first brookie trip of the year - endless possibilities! For tight quarters brookie fishing, y'all should really tenkara a shot - you'll never need the reel or the line :) and the rods are SO much more sensitive. Scott at Featherman Creations off 255 going towards the Moshannon is a solid spot, Scott's a good dude as well.

A buddy and I had an off grid camp in north central PA for over 40 years. No idea how many hundreds of native brookies we caught and released. My pal passed a couple years ago and the camps been sold. Best times of my life. Sure do miss my buddy and those mountains.

I've been fishing ANF since I was 10, I'm 45 now. Just started Quehanna/Moshannon area about 10 yrs ago. I've recently introduced my daughters boyfriend into it. I give him a new spot and which species are in it. He goes alone. And when he tells me about it, its like a time machine to myself.

Born and raised in Clearfield County... such amazing trout streams. Fond memories of native brook trout streams with my dad, using some worms we dug up in the yard... watching now from South Carolina, where I've lived for the past 15 years.... I miss that beautiful area up there. I have a 2 hr drive to the mountains of SC/GA for the nearest trout fishing to me.

The fishing should start picking up here with the warmer weather on these smaller streams. There are time when I ask myself where all the fish went then others where every rock has a brookie behind it! My favorite type of fishing. Great video!
