We go to the famous fish market, the huge cathetral, the muralla de la tierra (fortified wall), and I climb the tower of Tavira to give you a panoramic of the city. You will be impressed by the extraordinary and original Spanish architecture while I explain lots of history of Cádiz. As in most videos, I also speak to the locals in Spanish and show you how they feel about the current situation with tourism returning.

Hello Diamond. Thanks for your feedback. I’m trying to maintain a balance of fun and informative while not being too flashy. I’m not someone who’s gonna spend 1000s on equipment and do tons of video animations. I like to keep it as real as possible. I’ll have some more videos with history of Cadiz in addition to Canary Islands where I’ve been the last few days.

Love Cadiz. Remember my childhood years taking the ferry from Rota to Cadiz. First thing to catch my eye was the multi-story burger king (not sure if it still exists) and the endless narrow streets. Thanks for taking me back!

Cádiz fue creada unos 70-80 años después de la destrucción de Toya. Es una de las ciudades mas antiguas de Europa y la mas antigua de la Europa occidental.

Cádiz "la tacita de plata" es la ciudad de "la luz", bañada por el Océano Atlántico....La ciudad más antigüa de Occidente.....Qué maravilla!!!

Cádiz es una maravilla por todos los sitios, me gusta todo pero lo que mas me gusta es prohibieron tener un edificio mas alto que la catedral, por eso se ve tan hermosa desde la torre, no puedo imaginar un edificio alto en el centro, sería horrible

I´ve lived and spend a couple of weeks close to villamartin at the "hacienda buena suerte" during the late 90´s and went to cadiz a couple of times during these days. really amazing city with beautiful architecture, wine and sherry! A shoutout to "Jean Claude Dysli" and his hacienda and the people I was able to meet there!

María, La Victoria...Son las playas urbanas de Cádiz, pero si te recorres toda la costa gaditana, Zahara de los Atunes, Caños de Meca, playas de Conil, El Palmar, Tarifa, etc., hasta más allá de Bolonia, con las ruinas de "Baelo Claudia" , son playas más vírgenes...Espectaculares!!!

Tienes que ir a la base americana de Rota. Es impresionante. Es como una miniciudad. Respecto a que los españoles son felices con poco como dices, puede que eso sea verdad en el sur de España. En Madrid, Cataluña, País Vasco etc, es decir, las regiones ricas, esa mentalidad no existe y es completamente diferente.

Las olas demasiado pequeña para tener mucho divertido. Growing up my dad would phone the surf forecast every summer weekend and wherever the biggest waves were, that’s where we go. I always had bloody knees after a day of body surfing.

I caught a few big ones off camera, but yea you're right. The best place I body surfed was near Valencia last summer, it was called Mareny Blau. They do a lot of kite surfing there.. and the sand is very fine with no rocks. Also Jaco Costa Rica is great for body surfing but it has strong and dangerous currents. Also let me help you correct your Spanish.. You wanted to say "Las olas son demasiado pequeñas para divertirse mucho." Divertirse is a verb meaning "to have fun" instead of always using the adjective form. I use that a lot now since I moved to Spain.. Thanks for watching Ken!

Dear Adventure Elliot. Your video start saying that in front of Cádiz is the Ocean Mediterraneo...FYI, Mediterraneo is a Sea, and in front of Cádiz is not the Mediterránean see, that you can see in front of your hand is ATLANTIC OCEAN...if you directly from your hand and go straight on you will go to Canary Islands or América. You are confused with province of Cádiz (the capital has same name) and province, more at south its really you can see Africa (its only 14 kms) and at your left you can see Mediterranean sea and at your right you will see Atlantic Ocean. Portugal is at north, that you can see at your right is "Puerto de Santa María", its another town from Cádiz province. In any case...thank you so much for your Cadiz exploration!! hahaha very good video!! Love Cádiz... PD: Me encanta que un extranjero disfrute tanto con lo nuestro, porque son las pequeñas cosas, las del día a día, que vamos perdiendo, por el simple hecho de vivir la vida cada día más rápido y más preocupado, deberíamos aprender a pararnos un rato cada día y admirar lo que tenemos a nuestro alrededor, quizás encontremos más valores y vivamos la vida mejor. Three years ago I went to Cádiz and fell in love with it. So I planned to go there again in 2020, but you all know how that plan failed :D The Old Town is just so beautiful, I really felt at peace in the city. Honestly wish I could just live my life there :D

Una cosa, cuando dices que a los estadounidenses os gusta el café negro, no entiendo...!!! porque por lo que he visto en muchos años en las películas de tu país (que no han sido pocas) tomáis agua chirli (es una expresión de broma) quiero decir que tomáis café muy muy aguado... En España, Italia y demás el café es más fuerte, mucho más... El café solo, de hecho, se sirve en tazas pequeñas... Un saludo... Me gustan tus vídeos...

Es porque nos gusta consumir más cafeína y tener algo para beber en nuestros aburridos trabajos de oficina. No bebemos solo una tasa al día. Nos gusta beber 5-6, lo cual no es saludable. Así que lo diluimos jaja. En cambio, en España la gente bebe café más pequeño y concentrado, pero se centra más en la sobremesa que en consumir el café

Yo simplemente uso el GoPro Hero 7 black y es impermeable! De verdad ye he hecho todo desde el comienzo con esta camera que compre en Media Markt. Hombre.. The sky was perfect in Cádiz.. It was so refreshing to see and feel the weather like that after spending the whole winter in Madrid. Let's be honest, the weather in Madrid is S*** compared to Andalucía. I hope people from United States come to enjoy the jewels of Spain like me, hopefully they will know or learn some Spanish as well so they can maximize their experience. Un saludo as always, Pedro

Cádiz, señor, queda de fondo, y al fondo, de su primer plano de busto continuo, donde la ruta por la ciudad apenas cobra protagonismo. Es su rostro y su lenguaje corporal , su verborrea en inglés como si estuviese masticando chicle de continuo, los verdaderos protagonistas. Chupando cámara y diluyendo urbanismo. ¡Y esa gloriosa ciudad está repleta de edificios soberbios de un tardo barroco elegantisimo, de mármoles genoveses, de balconadas, de esculturas,de torres y espadañas, de fachadas y de rincones de íntima gracia marina y luminosa! Cádiz es una ciudad deslumbrante, intacta, pero revela su secreto sólo a quien sabe mirar y detenerse.

La Santa María fué la nave Capitana en donde iba Cristóbal Colón . Recordar que no estáis en el Mar Mediterráneo sino en el Atlántico y hace más frío. Jajaja . Más que el Lago Superior !! 😀😂

¿Más frío en Cádiz que en Mediterráneo? No lo creo. En realidad la amplitud térmica en Cádiz es mucho más reducida por la influencia del Atlántico, que mantiene la casi la misma temperatura tanto en invierno como en verano, a diferencia del Mediterráneo, que se caliente mucho en verano y se enfría mucho en invierno. En la costa Mediterránea puede llegar a nevar excepcionalmente, en Almería, en Alicante... cosa que nunca ha ocurrido en la costa gaditana.

Santa María fue una de las tres embarcaciones del primer viaje de colón. Las otras dos eran de los hermanos Pinzón. Amo esa historia y quiero dedicarle un video. Tendré que ir a Palos de la Frontera. Y sí, el Atlántico es más frío con las corrientes de varios que forman el océano más grande.

@@dhbehk5339 el Mediterráneo no es sólo Málaga Almería o Alicante . Es también la zona norte de Cataluña y todo el Sur de Francia en donde en verano, agosto, hace un frio que pela dentro del agua. Y el mar de Cádiz también es frío compaRado con Almería. También están frescas las aguas que rodean las islas Canarias . Aunque reciban la corriente del Golfo de México . Aguas calientes son las de Cancún o Río de Janeiro , todas esas aguas las he probado y se lo que digo.

@@anacasanova7350 las aguas calientes del golfo de Mexico, no van a Canarias , sino que van al norte al canal de la Mancha entre Frencia y Gran Bretaña, allí las aguas si dstan calientes. Las corrientes de agua de Canarias si van a América y por eso Colón siempre bajaba a Canarias para ir a America, y regresaba por el norte

@@adolfogarcia2468 En Inglaterra o Francia las aguas calientes ??? no las hay en ninguna playa. Ni siquiera en Canarias están las aguas calientes . Están "calientes" en Valencia y costa del sol , Murcia y Almería. La corriente del Golfo de Méjico , templa las aguas de Canarias y Europa del oeste , pero no están calientes , eso en Cancún .😀😁🙅🇪🇸

If climate change is real, and sea levels rise, does Cadiz have a future? Other than the streets being filled with low level water, the sewerage system would have to be continuously pumped out.

Cádiz esta rodeada por el mar, pero su suelo en la mayoría de su territorío, esta a mas o menos metros sobre el nivel del mar. No problem

Yo estaba apuntando hacia donde esta el mar mediterráneo al oeste para mostrar la ubicación en relación con Cádiz. Creo que perdiste en el inglés. obvio es Atlántico .. pero bueno.. y la música árabe.. Era una mezcla .. me parece adecuado por la historia pero yo no puedo agradecer a todos

Cuando alguien quiere aprender de la historia puede haber equivocaciones, y tú por supuesto quedas en evidencia diciendo que el fondo de música es africana y no es cierto, es árabe, tienes menos talento que una guitarra sin cuerdas

@@baltarbb4969 si te refieres al norte de África en aquellos tiempos que fueron conquistadas?, la expansión árabe empezó en las guerras que caerían el Imperio sasánida, el norte de África, y la península ibérica, así que que no te cueles, sobre historia, que llevo mas de 40 años disfrutando de lo que me gusta, cuando abras un libro abre los ojos y no mires solo la portada, que no tiene nada que ver la música africana con la Árabe, ni la africana con el flamenco, prefiero ser un "mongolo" lector, que uno del montón que se pasa de listo
