Whilst on our travel tour of Tenerife, we planned a night at the coastal town of Puerto de la Cruz Tenerife Spain because it has more a green/tropical feel with black volcanic sand beaches. It's also a very laid back travel spot in Spain and Europe - with a different vibe than the other side of the island. Upon arrival, I truly felt at peace and was stunned by the beauty of the natural surroundings - a feeling that I finally had found a Island Paradise in Spain and Europe. The last time I had felt this way was on my travels in Central America (Costa Rica, Panama) where I constantly discovered tropical paradises.

Punta del Hidalgo. Used to be more touristy back in the 70s before they built the airport in the south. It's mainly visited by locals now. In August they have some nice concerts at night, next to the sea water pools. Really good vibes.

Puerto de la Cruz. Donde vivi 17 años. Amo Canarias, Tenerife y Puerto de la Cruz. Que envidia me das jajaja. Iré este verano otra vez a ver a todos los amigos que tengo allí y disfrutar de la isla.

El hotel es como las casas antiguas Canarias. Las mas grandes, tenían balcones y el patio con plantas en el interior.

Thank you for showing us around puerto de la cruz. I visited this coastal city last november and it was quite cool to see those places again in your videos! Btw the cacti you mentioned are actually not "desert" plants as the most species of cacti grow rather in tropical parts of the world than in arid areas. Kind regards! :)

Hi Elliot, Puerto De la Cruz is exactly as I recall it. The hotel you stayed in is familiar to me, I think I visited someone there once when they were staying there. I am off to España at the end of July, hopefully fingers crossed I will make it this time around. Tenerife along with the other Canary Islands have always been a big tourist Destination for the Brits and many either Live there or have homes there. That cactus you showed us was quite an old one, probably been there for years. Gracias as always

Not only did it have a old vibe with the history, but I could tell that it had been catering to northern European tourists for most the 20th century. There was more english there than other spots in Spain. Alright, I'm rooting for you.. I think there will be zero issues. Your piso and beach scenery awaits you here.. While you arrive to Spain, I will probably be heading north to complete the Camino de Santiago.. But we will see. Thanks for watching and leaving comments as always.

@@AdventureElliot De Nada. If you get a chance in the future, try and go to Gran Canaria. It is quite a lot different in landscape really than Tenerife. Gran Canaria has a beach called Mas Palomas, with sand Dunes and golden sands. Google it and you can see what I mean. It is a place that I have always thought is a great beach and probably one of the best I have ever seen and I have been to a lot of places. It is well worth a visit if you are able to go. Travel as we know is probably one of the best educations that anyway can have, learning about different cultures, ways of life and different cuisine. Once the world was reduced by Air Travel and made smaller as a result, the pandemic has made it bigger again. You and all of us should always do things when the opportunity arises, never put off till tomorrow, what you can do today. Gracias amigo, Feliz Sábado, ten cuidado

Thanks Mihaela :) I love Spain and the Spanish language so there probably isn't a better place than this to escape and get away. Heading to Malaga today to get more content.. However, lots more from the Canaries first!

Just 10 minutes south of the last beach you visited is the rocky headland of Punta Brava which is a lovely village.

If you're in the south, try to grab a drink in "El Chiringuito Pirata" in El Medano. Nice sunsets, nice atmosphere

Even though I am rather sad about the blow to the tourism in Puerto de la Cruz especially, I have to admit that it looks cozier with fewer people. I live just a few kilometers away from Puerto Cruz.

By the first bay in your video is a shop that sells used digital equipment, phones, cameras, computers etc. Most of it is either lost or stolen kit from tourists. If you lost your camera that would be the first place to look for it.

Good to know. That's funny, so thieves would bring the equipment there and sell it, kinda like a pawn shop? Maybe they have some Gopro's laying around, I'll have to buy one!

Hey I was wondering where did you see or meet more Latin Americans in Tenerife or Madrid? And in which of the 2 places do you see they have a stronger presence or a larger percent of the population? Just curious and great video 😊

Hello good question. Madrid by far just because of sheer population density and it being the obvious economic choice for immigrants.. however, if I spent more time in Santa Cruz the biggest city in the canaries, I’m sure I’d meet the Latino Camino.. but historically speaking Canary Islands has a rich mix of culture between Latin America and the peninsula in many ways such as the food and cultivation, culture & people and immigration , and weather. Good question

Madrid has distinct Dominican, Venezuelan, ecuatorian, Paraguayan, Peruvian and Colombian communities and neighborhoods where thousands live

@@AdventureElliot thanks for the response and I know Madrid has a larger population but I always hear of Tenerife also having a large Latin American population so I was curious in which of the 2 regions are you more exposed to the Latin American population but i figured Madrid since it’s where most will find work and great videos thanks

@@chinglee100 perhaps Tenerife has a larger diaspora.. do you understand? However in the 21st Century madrid has hundreds of thousands of immigrants from Latin America and it’s only growing… right now Venezuelans are the most quickly growing immigrant group.. probably Peru next.. all because of poor politics and lack of economic opportunities in Latin America.. a shame really. However, it helps make madrid a multicultural and rich international city.

Mi isla es preciosa y estoy orgulloso como cualquier canario de sus islas y de su archipiélago, menos mal que fueron los españoles los primeros en llegar antes que los anglosajones, estas preciosidades de islas no tendrían el misterio y belleza de sus tierra española

A lo mejor no eres tan canaria como te crees y no sabes que los primeros en llegar no fueros los españoles. Canarias estaba habitada por gente que merece mucho respeto y de los que muchos canarios descendemos. Estas preciosidades de islas no necesitan a nadie para tener su misterio y su belleza. Por cierto, los anglosajones han sido los que desde hace muchos siglos nos han sacado las castañas del fuego y posiblemente nos han dado mucho más que los españoles. Te recomiendo leer algo de la HIstoria de Canarias. De cualquier manera, la naturaleza ha sido muy generosa con estas islas y no creo que hayamos sabido agradecerlo suficientemente. Saludos
