UPLOADS EVERY 2 DAYS :)
June 20th, 2016 -- My adventures in the Outer Banks continue! This time, my family and I set forth to Jennette's Pier in Nags Head -- my first "pier target." Entrance fee for 24 hours fishing is $12 per person, but well worth it! The pier itself has concrete pillars, a water fountain, clean restrooms, not to mention an awesome fish tank right at its entrance! Hah.
We ended the day there with a few different Species of fish, including two new Species for me: The Atlantic Spadefish (#125) and the Atlantic Spanish Mackerel (#126). My full Species album can be seen here: extremephillyfishing.smugmug....
Coming up in two days: My family and I head to the Nags Head Fishing Pier for some more Multi-Species angling, where I land a very unusual type of Shark! To identify it, your help will be necessary...

I just found your channel and I really like it! Most of the fishing you do is similar to what we do in Ohio, so it feels familiar(panfish, trout release, cats, bass). Thanks again. I also appreciate the fact that you use scientific names and explain so much about each fish including diet, bait, and where to fish. For only living in the U.S. a comparitively short time, you know your stuff.

If you ever get back to the pier take one of the classes they offer for pier and surf fishing. It's pretty basic info but the instructor is world class and is a blast to fish with! The catch it/clean it/cook it class is my favorite. Tight Lines EPF!

I will be on Jennette's at least a few times pretty soon. I think one day a couple years ago we landed 18 different species from jennettes in one day, it was incredible. It's not usually like an aquarium though, but the ocean changes very quickly so you never know what a new day will bring. The locals on the pier said one day two years ago, the trigger fish were so thick that everybody who went on the pier got a limit, and when they dropped the nets to land a trigger, they would end up with 2 or 3 in the net because other triggers would follow the hooked fish to the surface. "Grey Friday" is what they refer to it as. The ocean is a wild place. We saw a couple small mahi landed last summer from the pier on gotcha plugs while targeting blues and spanish, I hooked one mahi but it shook off. Can't wait to see more OBX footage Leo!

I've caught spades. I was fishing about 2 miles off of the Savannah River in the ocean. We were on a wreck in about 20 feet of water. The spades were pretty big. Maybe a pound or two. They fight like hell when they get that big. They're fun and easy to catch.

What equipment would you recommended for fishing the schuylkill river?
@extremephillyfishing
@extremephillyfishing 8 жыл бұрын
For Multi-Species angling, I would recommend a medium or medium light rod, 6'6" or 7'0", with a ~2500 reel model. For line, between 8-20lbs test, depending on what you will target. If still fishing, 1-2 oz. when the River is calm, and never more than 3oz there. Tight lines and thanks for watching, Michael!

Well...I do have a pink box full of cool lures that I can use, so pink will be a big part of my fishing from now on. On the other hand, I will definitely not be limited only to pink, Chris! Tight lines and thanks for watching!

+Extreme Philly Fishing cool deal. Congratulations on that spade fish also. I go to Oak island, NC every year, and I have never gotten lucky enough to get one. I don't think they school in that abundance there though. if you are still at the beach you should target a sheepshead. they eat small crabs.

I'm down there 10 days a year and am friends with all the locals... people on jeannettes pier are young gun a**holes. go to nags head fishing pier the locals there will help as long as your friendly... I pin rig and they helped me with everything... I'll be going down Saturday and will be "drum fishing" at night (definitely not shark fishing) and then fishing for cobia and Kings during the day
