WCS Westcoast Salt is on for a huge expedition, we're in the Northwest for a month living out of the Haines Hunter & Yaltacraft, exploring remote islands, diving and fishing, eating what we catch.
Come along for the ups and downs of living offshore !
This is the first day of the first run and what a cracker, plenty of fish on the jig, we cant get away from the large mouth nanagai, what a problem to have !

Yeah they bloody work that’s for sure Yeah it’s just a rubbish bin mate all our waste goes into that and crushes down, then when we pull up of a night we stack a few things on top to clear the deck, buckets etc

I didn’t think you’re allowed to fill at your fish and keep them in your boat. I thought you have to take them home.

I’ve never had a problem with it If it’s an island trip and you can show you’ve been away, same as when we go to mackerel islands, Dirk hartog island, Abrolhos etc There’s even filleting at sea rules, like the used to have the minimum 300mm fillet, thank god they got rid of that !!!

You just have to comply with the 10kg demersal plus 10kg pelagic fillets per fisherman rule.
