The mountains can be so soothing to the soul. After a busy time of the year we made a last minute decision to leave our schedules behind for the weekend and escape to the lesser known Small Table Mountain.
This was one of our favorite hikes in a long time. The softness of the sun peaking out around every corner left a magical golden hour feel along the entire hike. Even though there were other hikers, we never crossed paths with them, making it feel like we had the mountains all to ourselves.
We ended the day off with an afternoon on the calm waters of the Berg Rivier where we enjoyed the sightings of the many beautiful birds.
