Hi Brandon, Great Vlog! Story time... I lived there in the Harbor Castle Hilton Marina, on 52ft Sailboat. That was 28 yrs ago I can't believe how Hugh the Marina is now. We had our slip very close to the corner Pub & admiring the Wyland wall, one of my favorites Artist. Time changes everything. When I lived there that was the dirtest most polluted Marina I'd seen any where in the world. It breaks my heart, to see the how discussed it has become as it's grown. The people living year round on lavish yachts, throw their garbage overboard where they live, just YUK! I even asked the mangemant if I could clean up the Marina, he said definitely NOT, he would not be libel for my Canadian ass... Any how you brought all the memories flooding back, thank you for that. The Black dirt. Is lava rock, dust, sand, black lava I believe... Sending positive vibes your way. PEACE LOVE DREAMS!🇨🇦 💞🌐📷🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟👌🌅🌏💜🌍💙🌎☮💕☁🎬😉

Paused netflix to watch lol 😹 I love these videos. 🤗 the ice chest with the duck tape was probably used for food. Back in 2016, i worked for a Offshore company & we used the ice chest to ship produce, meat, & frozen foods. We used regular boxes for hygiene products, dry foods, & drinks. We used gel packs & dry ice to keep the food fresh then taped them closed.

Diving next to a canal in Hawaii is like swimming in sewers in Mexico. There is a lot of pollution from WWII (Hawaii was the home base of the US Pacific Fleet, and it was a very heavily traveled area) and it's a major biohazard; you should probably see a doctor.

That black sludge could be a number of things. It could be toxic sludge or naturally occurring black algae. It’s possible sewage has seeped or overflowed from Hawaii’s treatment plants & settled there. It could also be a result of Hawaii’s black coral breaking down. My guess is, if it’s only like that in the harbor, then it’s all the crude oil from the boats, mixing with the sand & silt (& other trash) and depositing on the harbor floor.

Another fun video! The harbor people should hire you guys just to get the bottles and cans out of the water. BTW - Your black mud usually is caused by oil leaking from boat motors, etc. It settles in the mud.

great pronunciation on the state fish. I used to spearfish and snorkel off portlock point on Oahu. There is a place where daredevils used to (and some have died) jumping off a cliff point there, but fantastic diving.
