This week I explore the stunning landscapes of The Ikara-Flinders Ranges! Located about 5 hours from Adelaide, I camped out at the Ranswley Park Station which was an incredible spot to set up and explore this beautiful region!

The Flinders is one of our favourites. Stokes lookout at sunset is stunning.

Something about the desert / arid areas of this country that is so much more beautiful than the coast in my opinion. I've never done the Flinders but I've done the Gammon Ranges a couple of times around Arkaroola (and further west and up to Oodnadatta and the Painted Desert) and absolutely love it....albeit it was in winter 🤣 You're braver than me. Thank you for another great episode and looking forward to many more.

I can never decide which I love more, luckily we can have it all here in Australia! You can’t go wrong, all those locations would be incredible ! And yes much better in winter 🥵 Thanks for watching !

Great walking trails there. I love the lookout peaks. Be very hot in temperatures at this point of time.

Yes I bet it would be a lot better in winter but I wasn’t about to skip it due to the high temps - so worth while ! 😍

I have been enjoying watching your travels and your presentation is great ! If I could ask that when you film information boards that you pause long enough that the information is in focus so that your viewers can pause the video to read the details. Thanks for another enjoyable show and I look forward to seeing more.

Great video Sarah, stunning footage, such a shame to see graffiti and people’s names carved into the walls of the ruins. There is so much more to see there, it’s a magical place. I loved the Brachina Gorge Geological Trail, which I did on my second trip through the Flinders. Hoping to get back to the Flinders this April for two weeks 🤞

Yes I agree, it’s a shame people can’t just look after these beautiful places ! I’ll definitely have to go back again myself, there’s just too much to see! Enjoy your travels !

Thanks for this video. How long do you think it takes to drive around everywhere, not including stops? I see it more as a driving trip than a bushwalking one. Can I get to these places in a video without a 4wd as other videos I’ve seen water on the roads?
@sarahrosefoster8 күн бұрын
Oh great question and honestly I have no idea, I didn’t even see everything ! You can definitely get places without a 4WD

Great video Sarah! I travelled to Flinders Ranges last April and loved it. Did you visit the towns of Hawker and Quorn? I got as far as the Prairie Hotel in Parachilna but didn't stay there. Did you visit Wilpena Pound?
@sarahrosefoster5 ай бұрын
I didn’t get to Wilpena Pound this time around, the hike was quite long so I decided against it with the heat but definitely going back ! I did check out Quorn however 👋🏻
